Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Given the contradictory statements given out in 2016 with regards to WHOPLA, maybe her position had become "untenable".0

Proof required .... otherwise this is a dead thread0

Unfortunately I can confirm that Monty's correct.
However, I don't think it's fair to blame ISPA for the contradictory statements about WHOPLA.
I'm sure the initial statement about having oversight of the WHOPLA process was made with good intentions - it's just that ISPA hadn't bargained on Wright Hassall telling them to stick their oversight where the sun doesn't shine.
The closing sentence in ISPA's August press release is very telling.....
"ISPA continues to lobby for statutory regulation of this sector"
..... this suggests to me that ISPA are just as fed up as the rest of us about the industry's inability to regulate itself.0 -
To quote a contact whose sentiments I wholeheartedly agree with:
'' Good people resign when they notice who they got involved with. ''

Thanks Edna ..... I find it difficult to believe it was WH that caused the problem, more like the BPA trying to protect themselves against the huge backlash with the Wright Hassall farce0 -
Maybe you're right, bg.
The BPA led "the 4,000" along the WH path having explained that this would the "safest and fairest" way and promising that the appointed "independent" service provider would act as if it were POPLA.
Appellants have been badly let down by the BPA's serving up of this cut-price WHOPLA service which is neither safe nor fair and has certainly not been conducted as if it were POPLA.0 -
withdraw appeals via the IPC and the BPA , get the government to rehire London counsils , all cases that are put forward to them will incur a £60 charge p0ayable by the PPC , no appeal offered or submittet by the IPPC = NO court case allowedSave a Rachael

Edna, a gagging order by the BPA. I wonder if Nicola Mullany will go public on this or has she been gagged with a big pay off. ??0
