More packing and more strips to new flat home now from work for the week and back Monday but Tuesday off. 10am tomorrow we put my stuff into house mates garage unit and right now DG is taking to the inspector about getting our deposit back. Would be nice to have that extra money but I'm not holding out that much hope.

Going to do more sorting and chucking tonight can't pack that much more as out of boxes so will be a few trips in the van tomorrow ready for the big stuff Saturday when the men in a van turns up well it's booked and paid for we don't know what time until 12/24 hours before. I think it will be Saturday afternoon.

DG went to ikea to get a new type of rail for the curtains I think it will work as long as it's not too heavy. We need to get one part into the ceiling is going to make a mess and I'm not looking forward to it migth also need new fabric might not.

Wish I could have a beer now but haven't got any so won't possibly Saturday night if we are all done.

Today has been hard work but two loads over and half unpacked tomorrow is the furniture and a lot more boxes migth cost a bit more as we just couldn't face all of the boxes place looking empty. Got my stuff into housemates garage will cost me £11 a week but we got distracted and forgot a chair such a pain really but he's promised to take it tomorrow. So much stuff being chucked again he's been great taking it to the tip. Helps there's a lift at the other end. Will need to come back for final sweep pictures etc but they arrive at 8am so have all day tomorrow. Need to move fridge to another room to defrost and the it's bedtime. Much needed.

Kitchen at flat has so many cupboards more than my big kitchen in my house it's amazing how much it holds. Not sure all my clothes will fit but we shall see.

Massive arguement with current guardian company but they will now give us our deposit back and let us pay less rent due to the no heating. After this was agreed they then rang us all saying property contract had been extended could we stay another three to four months. Ehh no we are moving out. What a farce never mind don't fancy moving at Christmas anyway.

    Night night.

So we are in only one more box to unpack and half a car load. Been back to pick up the final bits old guardian company couldn't find anyone to stay on so the manager whom we dealt with is staying there himself. Forgot an over radiator airer and had to leave a clothes rail but it's fine. Got washing machine installed but missing one bit from pipe under sink which we can buy ourselves. Came in the middle of me cooking roast dinner. Not had roast dinner at home for two years as only had mini oven so had to do one. Left the door to the landing open while they installed machine and vupty fire alarm on the corridor goes off.

Eventually people go outside and not one or two fire engines turn up total of five come. They give us the clear to go in and says it's someone sanding above that must have set it off. Well my dinner was smoking so I think it might have been me but not owning up. Dinner was lush though.

Forgot to share online delivery from Sainsbury's they substituted the cheap speaking water with the next one up and said they could only deliver ten instead of 30. Well they made a mistake as they delivered 10 x 4 packs so we now have 40 bottles and they are refunding the difference which is £9.

Dead pleased last night got the room dividing curtain up but it fell down a few hours later. Need bigger screws but curtain nicked form old flatmates room looks great on it. White so blends in just need bigger screws.

Work today and late meeting until 8pm but at least I've got tomorrow off which will be nice. DG has job interview today not dream job but could be good.

Eating my breakfast then off to try new route to work.

Yes thanks we are happy lovely not to be sharing only drawback is longer routeto work but today I'm doing training so late start anyway.

Had a nice day off yesterday much needed as didn't get home until past 10 on Monday due to a meeting and I didn't even stay to the end. Got pictures put up and bought a few bits in Wilko as well as did a Lidl shop so well stocked up now. Made my lunch DG forgot hers which is a shame dinner out ready for tonight really want to get back on track.

Salery gone in a lot less than last month will need to see pay slip to work out why seems odd but I think I was paid too much last month maybe it's the tax.

Internet goes on today which is nice as I missed bake off and X factor so lots of telly to catch up on.

Ended the month with £340 on my account so can top up savings of wasted money and do the money shuffle which is fab. Premium Bond draw tomorrow let's hope for a win.

Savings topped up by £500 DG pays me for her golf membership and I had that spare left over which I'm pleased about considering how expensive this month has been with removal cost and work done. Really could do with new taps in the bath they are so hard to close. A mixer tap with a shower attachment is £50 so asked handyman if he could fit it. £80 to £100 depending on pipes that's a lot but also a pain not having a proper shower let alone a mixer tap as the rubberthings we have don't really work and with the taps so knackered it's not a good idea to invest in better ones. We shall see think it will be worth doing.

Shower fitted £43 for tap and £50 for fitting gave him £10 tip he is good and he came tonight on a Saturday. Also got home phone working so I can call my mum and got some more strips for fitting the pictures and that should now be it for expenses.

Managed to scan my statements from the letting agent and also sort the accounts out £8500 income and £2000 expenses since April but that was new cooker at £500 which needed doing.

My income is less than I though it was because I got a tax rebate on the first month not sure why. Should get more tax rebate I'm guessing but we shall see.

Nice and chilled going to try shower out in a bit then it's xfactor.

Shower was great really happy with it will make life easier and we can take it with us and reuse it. Went to our old place yesterday god it's cold in there. They have moved some more stuff in maybe to make it look occupied but I don't think it is. Read a Facebook post about old guardian company definitely a lot going on two top people gone but I still think they are going under. To offer us to stay on the day we move out and the others got one weeks notice very chaotic. The article said the council is re tendering let's hope someone else wins it as they are bad.

Looking at my income and pure expenses I've got just about £1000 to live on food etc all covered. I will do my best to save more into that new fund for the waster money. Should be well doable. Migth join a gym when I find one in a location that works. The one across the road sadly doesn't have classes and it's £40 a month way too much

Premium bond win £50 transferred into savings now £2050 in there should be more to add once alll bills out. Other holding of £49k won £75 in fun money account for going away.

Got permit so cancelled Council one need to appeal parking ticket but will so tomorrow. Meeting cancelled so home earlier which was a plus late one Friday will be the killer.

Turned boiler up water and heat hoping this place will warm up have to have oil filled radiator on which isn't right, covered fine place so shouldn't be drafty now. Will need to cover more windows up though.

Direct debit set up for electric and switched to fixed rate should save some pennies. Not done first meter reading so £45 is set for the moment but not paid anything since we moved in.

Bloody cold actually might go to be early DG is out with work but has interview tomorrow fingers crossed but there is another potential one coming up that have remember her as she didn't get one there last time she applied. That one would be ideal but posh one and DG would need to smarten up a bit.

Work ok busy and off to Manchester Monday and Tuesday might take some time off in lieu at some point feels a bit hectic at the moment.

Not been good with lunches but will take some for tomorrow and it's not a late one which is nice. No gambling either nothing zero absolutely nothing not even a free offer since 14/8 really really pleased with that.

Appealled the parking ticket and paid housemate for garage rent plus set up s/o it's £40 a month coming out of my rental money. Saving me about £100 on the amount I would pay in professional storage.

Managed to cover all the window vents in this place with Poundland purchases of draft excluders and it looks nice too. Much warmer now we have turned up the boiler much much better.

DG went ok at the interview doesn't want the job it's legal aid only and long hours with no admin support so don't think she should go for it either it will be the same as she's doing now.

Long day tomorrow working to late with new volunteer students but project I'm working on is coming together and I'm going to a conference next week can't wait.

    Early night I think tired
