IP address - getting 169 instead of 192

    Sounds like it was simple IP conflict, ie, the same IP address being assigned to multiple devices, hence the need to shut everything down and allow new addresses to be assigned in turn.

    Having turned everything off and on more than a dozen times in the last 48 hours, I never thought to start connecting the ones causing the problems (ie the iphones) first.

    Are you using static IP addresses on your Iphones?
  • No, they are set to DHCP.
