Mobile phone for tethering

Having blown the allowance on the mifi I have found the only way I can get a highter monthly data allowance is to do it via tethering to a phone instead.
As I live on a narrowboat the signal at times needs an aerial to boost it on the mifi, so I am looking for a phone with an aerial socket - can anyone recommend one. (we allready have a suitable aerial)
Also looking at giff gaff and three for the contract as they give reasonable coverage for most of the areas we will be in.

Something like this could be used with any phone ..

we allready have an aerial for such that we have used with the mifi with great success, so just a case of finding a phone we can plug the aerial straight intoI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

Sorry, dont know what happened there. Here is the link.
It isnt an aerial as such, but rather a receiver and an aerial, to take your signal outside.
I would recommend using one of these.

But you insist on a wired aerial, i think lots of phones have a small antenna jack under the battery cover, i know my galaxy s2 does as shown here :-
Galaxy s 1-4 has this - not sure about other brands0 -

What makes you think that you need to buy a mobile phone to tether, when you already have a MiFi?
You can simply swap SIMs if there is no possibility to increase your data allowance on the current SIM.
Supply more details on what you have now.
Make and model of MiFi, network and current allowance.
There is no need to buy another unit for internet access.0 -

been led to believe that some sims for such do not work in a huewai, currently on 3 with 20gb a month - found an ee with 32 a month but need to physically check if can actually get coverage in the marina, - have found the coverage maps somewhat inaccurate in past.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0 -

You can just pop a Three PAYG 12 GB SIM costing around £24 to top up for months when you go over.
Which Huawei model exactly? They have model numbers you know.0 -
Unlimited data on 3 PAYG is 25 squid, with 300 mins and 3000 texts0
