Just received an email from moineysavingexpert.com Cheap Energy Club:Yay! We hear your energy switch is complete.
British Gas has told us your switch is complete. Suppliers can take a while to update us, so don't worry if your supply switched over a while ago.0 -
Logged in to the BG site this morning and found their "new online account pages".
That explains a lot - all their technical staff will have been working flat out on the roll-out of the new site leaving them no time to sort out the mess of our switches!0 -

Same here also just logged in th British Gas and they have taken a direct debit so my account is in credit however they are that good they took the money in the future 7november

My account is the same. If you look at your payment history, you will probably see:
The account balance shows the amount of the DD, even though it hasn't left the bank yet. Still no meter readings showing though.

This is the worst switch ever!! My Elec account is all set up but Gas is not, have given my readings umpteen times through e-mails and over the phone and also online but they keep telling me they don't have it. When I spoke with someone they told me that EON were refusing to hand over the gas account, strange I said as EON have given us the final bill and our account with them has been closed?? Then I'm told it will take up to a few weeks for the switch to take place, I'm confused?? I've also given my gas meter serial number as they said they didn't have that information either. Getting weary of all this back and forth now, please hurry up and sort this out. I though EON were bad but this is just a joke :-(0
