    Oh that's good then! They are coming to value mine 26th (I'm a FTB but it's right to buy so coming to my house) I'm hoping I can ask them before they leave what the value is! Hope you dont have to wait too long. I've seen people say they've had offers within 48 hours of the valuation taking place.

    Hi all,


    So I received my valuation report from Halifax on Saturday 17 September and this was satisfactory. I called my broker today for an update and he said that the case has been sent back to the Underwriter. Is this standard practise?

    We didn't receive an offer until a week after valuation so perhaps this is normal - I wasn't told specifically why it took so long so I can't be of a lot of help at this point! Fingers crossed it is quite quick for you from now :)

    Yes. It has to be signed-off at each stage if referred at submission.

    After all that my husband and I finally received our mortgage offer this morning. Thanks to all those on this forum that kept me sane and gave me advice :)
