You need to look for a product drawdown deadline on your illustration as Halifax does not have a fixed offer period.
Current products run until 31/03/2017.
When you get close to that date, you can choose a new product and if it's six months old, have the valuation refreshed.I am a mortgage broker. Just to let you know we had our valuation today (Halifax, through London and Country) and I just got a call saying my offer is in the post!
I had defaults on my file and had a mortgage rejected by Natwest last month. So it can be done! Crossing fingers for you.0 -

Hello everyone! I'm joining the Halifax Mortgage pending queue!
Got a Mortgage Promise online Wednesday 7th September, then had a video meeting with the MA last night to complete the full application and then submitted our documents via the portal (they only requested 1 payslip for me and my husband and a bank statement showing child benefit payments - I was surprised to be honest...!) I was told at the time that the credit check was fine and as long as my income matches what I told them (it does) then there will be no issue... I cant help but feel a bit nervous and in limbo though!!
I called them this morning to ask how long things take from here and was told we passed the credit score with an A3 rating - no idea what that means, ha. They are a bit cryptic - I just want them to say "Yes, as long as the survey is ok the mortgage will be fine" - all I got was It can take anything from 6 weeks to 4 months to complete...
Ah, the joys of being a grown up!0 -
Definitely a stressful period Mrsrjo. But you will be fine
We only got asked for 1 pay slip also but had to show 3 months bank statements to show we had the deposit saved. The whole process does take time but keep faith and keep chasing.

PS did you ask them to wait to do the valuation until you'd heard the case was approved subject to valuation?0
-
They only instructed the valuation after case was approved. But they took the money out beforehand. Have you paid them for the valuation yet?:jFinally going to be a homeowner:T0

Yes, they took that last night.0

Yes so they take it out but will instruct valuation after the case has been approved.:jFinally going to be a homeowner:T0
