Firstly, purpleybat, how kind and caring of you. Shows what lovely folk we have on here! Bless you!

OP suggest you get someone to check your loft hatch (the square that is loose so folks can get into the loft) a lot of heat can dissapear up there because it can form a gap like round a door and heat rises) but to put insulating stuff round it costs about £3. :j

I also second the idea of exercise - some stretches before bed would generate a little heat - even if you are not up for a run!! (Nor would I be!)

Also suggest you make sure you have a warm drink so that you are not cold because you are hungry/thirsty.

Laptop is currently generating heat as it sits on my lap on a cushion. If really cold I have a blanket over my knees as well. i.e. make sure you are not cold before you go to bed.

Re Jackie O's point about hunk to snuggle up to. Watch an episode of Poldark or whatever floats your boat??? :D At least you'd go to bed with a smile on your face!!!!

Finally - thermal wear is fantastic - I once worked in a place where the heating did not work and we had to sit down all day. We complained and they said 'Go and buy yourself thermals then! We have had the men out to fix the heating twice - we will pay for them out of petty cash' So I did - 3 thermal vests and presented them with the receipt. They had to cough up cos they had put the advice in an e-mail. I got my money. Two or three others followed me - the heating was properly mended within a week. I had the last laugh as I still have the thermal vests and when v cold will wear them under clothes and PJs!! :rotfl:

Its not glamorous but it works!!
Also - sudden thought - ask GP/nurse/specialist/ any Fibro web sites for advice???

I'm always cold, too! Luckily my OH is like a hot water bottle. I stil have a heavy throw on top of the duvet on my side of the bed.
