Evening all!
I've not done any of the list. Oh dear. But, I have been at the paid stuff all day, and managed to keep the place looking reasonably tidy, cooked and eaten, two washing machine loads and one dishwasher. I've also been for a run with the dog (just got back). I'm now having a glass of wine as a reward, which I know is wrong. But it's better than having a glass of wine without going for a run!
Bossy I would text the sister, or just knock on the door of you are worried, set your mind at rest.
I can't remember if I mentioned but my car broke down (again) at the weekend. she needs replacing (loved my car), which will use money that we were going to spend on the house. Grrrrrr.
ATB, I'm with you, I love it that the nights are drawing in, so do my girls. OH however, wants to move to California0 -
Popping in quick before I head off to bed. Work is as done as it can be without sitting preparing books and writing the newsletter which means that tomorrow I have to work all day as well. Livingroom is tidier than it was earlier, but its filled with work stuff. Tomorrow it'll only get worse.
On the plus side, DD has washed up, given the kitchen a deeper S&S then normal, and cleared the ironing pile from the weekend. Hopefully I can get downstairs cleaned on Wednesday, Thursday I have commitments all day (and the evening), so I'm not going to be going anywhere other than Mr Al for fresh milk & bread tomorrow and work until Friday which is a big change to the last few weeksOh well, trying to think of the money I'm saving by not being out and about lol :rotfl:
Catch you all tomorrow! :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Ooooh I am so excited - I'm playing scrabble against one of my cousins, online and I can play all 7 letters and make adjustments to two words already on the board which will give me a score of 77! I just need her to play hervword and not where I'm planning to go lol
Oh I ironed. And washed up!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

valli hope she doesn't pinch your spot.
Thanks BM I did text her, all is well.
So much For an early night - have warned DD to stay in her own bed. "But I always need you" was the mournful reply <yawn>Bossymoo

I'm still here (I know you've all missed me terribly :rotfl:) but we have a poorly household. I think we're coming out the other side now, but it hasn't been good. DH took a day off work on Friday as he "felt a bit ill" and just draped himself on the sofa while I coped between bouts of sickness. He insisted I not tell the skids (or their mother) about our bug, so they duly visited and SD has now got it  Ex-wife chewed his ear, which he truly deserved but he remains unrepentant. So we endured an eight hour round trip in the car with D&V  to take them home. DH sat on a nappy most of the way to avoid any mishaps and I got to sterilise the kids' car seats when we stopped each time. How on Earth do I manage this selfish bloke? He never listens.
Flying done? Not too much.0 -
All I can say, Dizzy, is you deserve a medal. I would have been utterly furious if I were their mother.
2 loads through WM, 1 load through DW. I did a hm tomato sauce to go on meatballs last night, inspired by watching cookery progs. It was lush. I winged it, and included a teaspoon of chilli jam for a kickDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Bossy glad you made contact and are now reassured everything is well with your neighbour's lad.
Hugs good wishes posi vibes sticks and spoons for all who need them.
Was ousted from bed at 6.15 so Dh could help me drag the Mattress out to another room before he went to work, I've got the little bits left to clear out before I go to work, hoping carpet fitting will all go well and we can start rebuilding the room tonight. At the very least I want the bed back in there.
Plan clear the bedroom and do the lists this morning then I can iron this afty, AF is visiting with a vengeance so feeling a bit bleurg.
Better go and shift the ladsSPC~12 ot 124
