Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Washing is hung out, my bed (the last daily except dishes I hadn't done) is made and Zack has been given a couple of treats for being good and just dozing on the sofa while I've got on with work. I've worked for just over 2 hours this morning and stopped for an early lunch as I was hungry. Time to get back on it now, once I've retrieved the wheelie bin. Hoping I can fly through it quite quickly as everything is here for a change! :D Most of the clutter in my livingroom is now work related stuff which will hopefully be gone by Wednesday after deliveries. ;)

Off to find a hoodie and then go get the wheelie bin. Catch up later

I'm not joining in this week as we're away on our holibobs at sparrow's f*rt on Tuesday.
    Have a lovely holiday! :o
We're off at sparrowf*rt on Tuesday too, but we're only going to be AWOL for Tuesday and Wednesday. So some Flying will happen later in the week.

Right now, we're partway through packing our overnight bags; I shall colour-code the rest of the packing list, to highlight what can be packed when we've finished with it tonight (this includes my Gabapentin liquid and Blephasol eye wash) and what will have to go in after we've used it tomorrow (e g my eye drops). So we are at least organised. :D

  • Happy hols Lynne!

Like BM I am going to try really hard to stick to the list this week. Today I have done paid stuff no. 1, been to the tip with a load of rubbish, come home and whizzed the carpet sweeper around and rehomed a few bits.

I will now work on paid stuff no. 2 until 5/5.30pm then give the LR some attention before I go to my gym class. Its hard to do the LR once hubby gets settled in there in front of the telly.

Chilli in SC for tea, washing still on line from this morning. Very pleased to see that DS2 has made his bed and tidied his bedroom a bit.

    Right - paid stuff.

Me too with sticking to the lists. Feels like the house has been a work in progress since June and although it's not yet finished I won't be doing any of that this week. So cleaning it is!

I washed the handrail and bannister paintwork which was just eurgh. It still needs painting but it's heaps better now. Ditto the inside of the front door.

Kids showed me round their classrooms after school which was nice. We also have a full year calendar of assemblies, parents evenings, inset days and even Xmas concerts - so it looks like someone has been wearing their organising hat over the summer. I even know what days they need pe kit for - hopefully things will settle down now for the school, after the upheavals of the last 18mths. So far DD only has one teacher, full time not job share, and she doesn't appear to have other priorities outside of her classroom which is encouraging. Fingers crossed.

I've got my stuff ready for tomorrow too, so tonight I'm just going to sort coats then have an early night :)

  • Well that didn't go according to plan - first train delayed as a lorry had hit a bridge, tried to get a taxi with two other passengers who were in danger of missing a flight and a Drs appt. no taxis available as its eid. Waiting train pulled off while we were all debating what to do. Our train came in time for me to speed run through town the other end. I was wheezing like a chain smoker when I got there. Rushed back with the kiddies to find the train we'd hoped to catch was cancelled. 90 mins wait for the next one and we have finally made it home, up side is everyone has read their books and practiced their spellings we did a few times tables and had a game of join the dots.
They are in the garden with fruit snacks while I'm peeling spuds and making pastry to make a pie for tea.

Will play catch up with the flying tomorrow.

  • Evening lovelies,

Managed to fly today, hurrah! As well as a trip to the big blue & yellow store :p, Argoooos to buy DS a new car seat and school/pre-school runs inbetween.

Kiddies were starving so I did them a chicken dinner which they wolfed down. Both have been bathed and are now snuggled up watching Inside Out. Bliss :) I think I am one of the only people who likes it when the dark nights draw in - cosy is my thing!

    Have lovely evenings all x

Oh dear Mrs MP :( X

Well, I'm not used to putting the kiddies to bed in the dark! I'm a bit shocked actually, lol. Maybe it is time for the door curtain to come out!

Bit of kitchen tidying to do in a while, only the dinner things. Thank heaven it's almost bin day - my black bin is full, I have a bag full in the hall (which mightn't fit) and obvs the kitchen bin too. I might be able to put in next doors.

Speaking of which, noisy NDNs are away. Well, parents are. But I'm a little concerned I've not seen (or heard) noisy son for a good 4-5 days. I was expecting a riotous house party this weekend, with alarms going at crazy times and obnoxious boys in cars tipping their ashtrays out on front of my drive. But nothing. His mum left me a spare key (apparently he loses them) and her mobile no - he definitely didn't go with them. She also left her daughters no - should I text her to check he's ok? I was under the impression he would be "man of the house" all the while they are away.

Don't want to be nosy neighbour or anything, but I really did expect disruption! On the other hand, sure he's in touch with his sister or she would have been round checking up on him...

Might knock on the other neighbours door tomorrow - they might have seen him.

Right! Kitchen grot to be sorted!
