Hi Slowly57,
It's taken years for my diagnosis...they've settled on a couple of different things. I now have two hospitals at war! Still, who cares about me?!
I wish you well x0 -
Today is a toast day
Went to the market, bought the food, made the 'plan'.
Plan starts Monday - the rest of today may (may) involve a nap...Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -

Ha! I think they were backing me into an umbrella diagnosis of ME/CFS until the neuro said nope - not that and - nope - not MS either. I've had dozens of tests that came back 'normal' when even a half-wit could work out there's something very wrong lol Ah well - I have gone from steaming control freak to being very zen about it all.2022 | Back to the fold - need a Money Saving mojo reboot!

I'm so sorry Slowly57,
I really do know how you feel. After over 20 years of tests, I've now realised I'm in the middle of two hospital arguments, 3 consultants and 3 doctors!
My 'official' diagnosis of Meniere's is an 'umbrella' diagnosis. My 'local' hospital swears they're right and wants me to have Gentamicin Infusion. The other hospital wants me to have brain surgery!
I'll leave them to argue it out while I eat cake! x0 -

I'm text book meniers but a lot of balance issues and smaller dizzy spells were discovered to be part of MS - this was diagnosed 4 years after the meniers diagnosis and only by chance as I went for an MRI for a trapped nerve!!Living the simple life0 -

Oh my goodness - we both know how it feels to be weighed up by bookies LMAO. I can't believe they can't agree on something with such drastic meds/surgical solutions. That's awful.
Sadly, my neighbour had oncology (for cancer) and a gastro-enterital team arguing over his treatment last year - !!!!!! they could do with going up to the head-end-of-the-bed and listening to the patient once in a while.
I'm off to the balance clinic on Tuesday to let them have a go. I'll take the last lot of meds-that-had-no-effect with me and see if anyone has noticed the traumatic head injury in my records yet.
I'm falling over backwards on account of all the eye-rolling lol.
n.b. Please don't anyone think I don't appreciate the NHS coz I do!2022 | Back to the fold - need a Money Saving mojo reboot!

Oh Tink - we are a weary band indeed. I hope you are doing better after all of that and are getting the treatment you need xx2022 | Back to the fold - need a Money Saving mojo reboot!

Hey Tink,
If you speed up your movements...it'll be like pinball!
I know!
I'm forever covered in bruises! The tablets don't work, but you still ask the doc for more...to save embarrassment! Pfft!
Travelling is fun...needing a sick bag to travel one mile! Oh well.
Honestly, this is cruel...but I really do wish it on my worst enemy! x0 -
I'm home again after helping my daughter last week. She claims me being there helps and I enjoyed myself. Catching up with the thread I realise my problems are small compared to many but I am grateful for the tips.
I started to make meatballs yesterday and soon wished I hadn't started as it was hurting my back. Then I remembered what I had read on here and put the mixing bowl in the sink. What a difference! It was so much easier and I got a good size batch made without making my back worse. Sorry I can't remember who posted that tip but THANK YOU.0
