I'm hopeless, I've only ever recognised someone as an AE on one occasion.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

I'm not part of the targetted group, nor I am I part of the PM group doing the targetting.
I'm starting to feel left out...
Same here, maybe I'm too boring to be part of the clique. My ignore list is steadily growing though, so either people are becoming more irritating or my tolerance of keyboard warriors is diminishing..0 -

Mine's getting shorter.
It turns out (as I rather suspected) that 2 of them were actually the same person and now they've both been banned!0 -
"new" user over on DT trolling the boards..

Over a million users on this website?? Don't make me laugh. About half of them are probably multiple accounts or AEs, seriously.0 -
Yes, but to be fair I don't think everyone posting on this thread is in their first incarnation either. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I seem to recall (from some analysis I did a while back) that about half of the registered users had never posted anything*, and roughly a third had asked one question, received replies and were never heard from again.
The 'active' base of users is probably under 10,000 - and a number of them are no doubt AEs.
ETA:
* Yep. Only 808,000 'users' - out of the total user membership figure of 1,567,000 stated by MSE - have ever posted even 1 post.
(And some of those 'users' will of course be AEs or spammers ...)0 -
End of the day mse relies on users
Keeps it up there on Google
End of the day they don't give a monkeys about AE's
End of the day if they don't care. Why should any of us?
We know what's going on. Unfortunately these kind of thread feed that culture
Ignore the lot of it
Play within the rules
It's supposed to be 'fun'0 -

See this is how I view MSE. I take what I want from it - light entertainment. However, from my reading of those who have been permanently PPRd, playing nicely within the rules isn't enough to secure your safety here. I guess the answer is to play them at their own game with our own AEs if/when we get PPRd.0 -
LOL at the number of views for this thread!
:D Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
