    Getting concerned here.

First few weeks with Phoebe and she ate her dry and wet Whiskas fine - over the last couple of weeks she has been leaving the wet and only eating the dry. We have tried putting water in the wet, warming it and even putting some dry in but she still leaves it.

We are seeing the vet in a few weeks for her 6 month check - should we see the vet sooner?

    Thank you and kind wishes,

PS she has plenty water and does drink it.

To be honest, Whiskas is probably one of the worst quality foods you could feed so maybe she's just not enjoying it any more. It's classed as the "junk food" of cat foods (as are most supermarket brands) so would be akin to feeding your baby/toddler on highly processed junk foods instead of fresh, natural foods.

Have you considered upgrading to a decent quality food? Lots available and would probably work out cheaper to feed than Whiskas if cost is a consideration. Decent pet food stores will stock the better brands. Even Pets At Home now stock a decent variety of good quality food so you're not restricted to obtaining supplies online anymore.

My kitten would only eat dry food jwb , I tried a few wet but then tried him on raw now I don't feed dry at all. It's much better for cats as they are obligate carnivores have a read on the Web, I just tried him with bits of raw chicken ,then lamb and beef mince. He loved it so I ordered raw pre made from kiezebrink. Also natural instinct and nutriment do raw. It's a mix of 80% meat 10% organ and 10% bone nothing else is added . Unlike dry and canned food just look at the labels.
Whilst she's only eating dry make sure she has plenty water.
I can see the difference with my kitten his fur is so soft and silky and his poos don't smell !

Feel awful now - we only fed Whiskas to my late cat (she died in April aged 6) - did I kill her by giving her Whiskas only.

When we got her from the family we got her from she was on Whiskas and we decided to continue that.

Can you recommend a good wet and dry food for we can buy her - I have access to internet so can buy at zooplus and have a pets at home nearby if need be to buy some to try to start.

Away to cry in the corner.

Dry food is covered in something called animal digest to get them to eat it. Stop offering any dry.

No Rita it comes like a mince, 80% meat 10% organ 10% bone, so I supplement with chicken wing tips,
