    What about a new router?
My Plusnet router should work with BT and TT, shouldn't it?
The majority will as long as you know / can find out how to set it up. My old TalkTalk router actually had the various ISPs listed in the set up menu so it was just a case of entering set up, selecting ISP and entering user name and password. Another tip is if you get a new router just give it the same SSID and security key as the old one and all your devices will just connect.

    Oh and the other thing.
If you change ISPs and therefore Line Rental do you have a new telephone number??
Not usually unless there is some sort of mess up. Going from a BT wholesale line to anyone else is usually OK, going from a non BT line to someone else can lead to a number change if one of the parties messes up.

    I'm getting stuffed aren't I.

The uswitch offer you quoted has no calling package so you are being stuffed £78 a year less than you claim.

That said yes you are being stuffed a bit and should be able to get a better deal from their retention department if you threaten to leave.

I've tried to 'open a ticket' at the Plus net site, which I've done before, but can't see how to do it now.
    Any ideas.
The call waiting time is too long for me and 'Jess' is no help at all and neither is their 'help and support'..
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.
  • They've purposely hidden the ticket system because they want customers to 'phone or online chat.
If you do manage to find it then there's not much chance of a quick response, if any.

The online chat is not very good.

They need more people answering phones.
Will it be less busy after midnight?
