Absolutely! The Press often love private parking cases. We recommend using every legitimate strategy to put pressure on the parking industryPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

So if I get it in the press it will not impact negatively on my case? I wouldn't want to endanger that.0

NO, it will not be detrimental to you whatsoever

Thank you, bemearguy and Umkomaas. Both my son and I are being ignored by the Property Management and their "agent" who we believe signed the deal with Link.
My DS (see, I learn lot of things from Coupon-mad!) also has a newly-acquired ticket from these cowboys and yet the management committee are STILL refusing to help him (or any of the residents).
I am about to ring his landlord and to write to ALL of the lease holders/landlords as well as the shareholders of the residential company. My DS has contacted the other residents and they are not happy but half of them are too cowed (in case booted out) to do anything about the situation.
I have two other options in mind before I send our witness statements to court (needs to be in in a week or so):
1) Writing to the press.
2) Inviting the "agent" (who seems to serve Link and not the residents) to serve as a witness in my case. He'll refuse or ignore, but hey ho!
And in court (if it gets that far and I think the claimant will drop it at the last minute) I will be trying to find out if the "lawyer" acting on the day is suitably qualified. Not sure how to do this, though.
I emailed Gladstones a letter with 14 days to cancel. That time is up and they haven't cancelled. Or at least they have not informed me of any cancellation. That refusal to engage will also go in my WS.
The problem with getting it in the press is that my DS may then be asked to move. Not that that would be the end of the world, but I don't want to make difficulties for him. Especially when he and I are in the right.0 -

Yes, thanks, I saw Parking Prankster's write-ups on this matters. Looks like I will have to raise it on the day with the judge "just in case" as I am unlikely to know beforehand the standing of their lawyer.
"Regrettably for Ms K..., she was unable to satisfy the judge that she was involved in the "Conduct of Litigation" nor that she was "Supervised" such that she was also an exempt person. As she had no right of audience, and specifically because MIL Collections are professional debt collectors, she was refused audience, and asked to stand down from the case. She indicated an intention to appeal the judge's finding in this case, which was additionally refused."0 -
Yes, take the Law Gazette and the 2 cases with you, on the off-chance.
No idea why the case went to a hearing though, very odd that a well-defended MIL case wasn't discontinued.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As I understand it this would have to be the first thing to be raised by me. No? I wouldn't know one Gladstones lawyer from a deputising trainee brought in from local chambers. I suppose there are a few names I could look out for or perhaps ask the Court Usher and see if he can tell me who they are and whether they are regulars.0
