The OP should read the Computer misuse act. It's not very good legislation (hurriedly introduced, badly worded) but would seem to be applicable here.

Good for you, fill your boots.Surely you're not suggesting your husband is unfaithful and using this as an excuse to put a snooper on his phone simply because one of his customers gives him a Christmas card and a tip every year? I give my newspaper deliverer (a mature male in his 60s) a card and tip every year but that does mean I'm a relationship with him. Some people just like to say thank you to people and show their appreciation.0 -
