Has anyone any experience to share of AutoAid since they were taken over by RCIB?
Can't find any, only positive comments. I belong to two car clubs and the majority of members are with Autoaid. Never hear anything but praise for them.
On this forum, it seems to be that any negative comments are made by people who don't have any personal experience because they have never been members.0 -

Sounds all positive to me. I came across this exclusion:
"The cost of recovering the vehicle and its passengers if the vehicle can be repaired within a reasonable period of time at or near the place where it has broken-down."
Would my claim be rejected if I chose to have the car recovered back home instead of having it repaired at Kwik Fit around the corner if I was 200 miles away?0 -

It all depends on "within a reasonable period of time" - but, yes, entirely possible.
And, frankly, quite right too. 200 mile recovery is expensive. If it's something that could have been fixed in an hour or two's labour locally, then having it recovered 200 miles IS unreasonable, and so's expecting a cheap-as-chips premium policy to cover it.0 -
The problem is what if they 'think' they've fixed it only to have the same issue 2 hours later? Will they be happy to recover then?0

Seems fair enough. I wonder what the AA/RAC would do :rotfl:0
