EU regs are to thank for dat
You talk some rubbish.
Clamping on private land is illegal and controlled by protection of freedoms act in England and Wales not EU.
Even if you parked on his actual driveway or garden for that matter he cannot legally clamp your vehicle.0 -
Instead of rudely claiming he does this because he's got nothing better to do consider that he may have had years of problems parking outside the house he lives in because of people choosing the easiest option for themselves. We're not looking to cause trouble but equally not going to be bullied by some person that has nothing better to do than stare out of the window
He may or may not own the land but if you can park by your sisters then why not park there?
You're considering him a bully. Isn't parking there knowing its causing a problem for him just being pig headed.0 -

How many more times are you going to post complete nonsense like the above? In England and Wales, only someone with legal authority can clamp or immobilise a vehicle, even it it's parked on their land. 'Legal authority' is acquired either by statute law (i.e an act parliament), or via a bye-law."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

If he owns the land in question, then he is in the right to attempt to control parking on it. If he doesn't own it, he has no such right."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

I disagree slightly.
NewUserHere doesn't talk some rubbish. They talk all rubbish. I've yet to read a single post where they actually got something right.
However, as they are a troll posting for effect, I'm not really surprised.0 -
Just when you thought it couldn't get any more stupid....NewUserHere wrote: »Land outside some bodies house is classed as a driveway... As such you can be clamped for parking there.

There's room for five cars along the side and the couple of times I've visited in the evening, there's only been three cars. Where's the harm in parking there for a hour? If he'd been neighbourly and politely explained his case, I'd be more inclined to listen. But as he stormed over and made a scene in front of my family and kids, he's soured what should have been a happy occasion.0 -

Does the rusty white sign say "Strictly Private"? It then looks like "Access" - just wondering?0 -
Not sure about that, I'll get sis to look later. That sign would've been blocked from view by the cars already there0

^Yellow lines everywhere and two businesses opposite. How many times do you think he's had trouble parking there?0
