Is this what you mean?
Simple.
No more wires, no more hassles, no more waiting for a line to be installed. Just plug the USB Modem into your laptop and within five minutes you’re on the web. You can even swap your modem between computers - your broadband wherever you want it.

viable if you are in the sticks but i think even my mum would go over their 1gig limit, after that you may as well get a cheap adsl provider who unbundles the phone line, also avoides the latency issue 3g has over copper.
frankly the only viable option at the moment is cable0 -
Fantastic find me_eevie,
Only problem is, if I put in my postcode, it says 3G only, but if I enter the town name (I live in the town centre), it says Turbo Active!
Certainly going to look into this more - am fed up of paying for a landline that I don't use! xGone ... or have I?0 -

I'm not in the sticks - not all areas have cable!
There are other packages available if 1GB is not enough.Gone ... or have I?0 -
I recently got the 3 mobile broadband, £15 for 3gb and it works brilliantly, very easy to set up and use. Would highly recommend it as an alternative, I was trying to avoid the BT reconnection fee, would seem successful!0

Have the 3 USB modem too. Been having problems with my BT phone line which is where my internet comes through, so order this, came very quickly, very easy to set up and good speeds 3.6.0

I was thinking about getting 3 mobile broadband for when I am away from home but was hesitent because of reception but after reading the last two reviews I might give it ago but you have to pay extra for the modem if you take the 12 month deal.
@Tonn100 + Valencia; what area's are you in?0 -
you can get satellite internet but its not cheap.
Or you can go wireless and see if any neighbours have wireless broadband and will let you share it. Offer to pay half their monthly charge and off you go.0 -
T-Mobile do an 'unlimited' service for £29 a month on their Web'n'walk Plus tariff. You get a USB modem that you can plug into your laptop or desktop. It is capable of speeds of upto 1.8Mbps.0
