    Me too, 40 is as low as I go though. Although my machine has a rapid cycle (30 degrees for 14 mins), I have never used it....doesn't quite seem long enough or hot enough.

    Reduce, reuse, recycle .
  • I use the 30 wash for a lot of stuff 40 for other and 60 for bedding 70 for towels, dishcloths, face flannels etc.

    Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
    Towels on 3hr 30C wash. When needed.
    Underwear and PJs on 3 hr 30C wash.
    Pillowcases and white shirts on 30C 3 hr wash.
    Duvet covers and bottom sheets on 15 min wash or 1 hr 30C, depending on how often, usually weekly.
    Husband's remaining stuff on 30C 1 hr wash.
    My separates and daughters separates generally on 15 minute wash. Just need freshening up.
