Well done to all money makers and commiserations to anyone who has found September a bit of a struggle:beer:. Every penny made is money we didn't have before so whatever we make is good:j

I used the products I'm testing last night for the first time. Absolutely lovely, they feel and smell really luxurious:T. It's such a shame that we never get to know the brand of these things as I'd be a definite convert to using these. I think I'm living in a dream world though as I suspect they would cost far more than the basic ones I can afford to buy:o

No chance of any more money coming in today:(. I'm still waiting for the redeemed survey money but it will kick start October's earnings. Doing a tabletop sale tomorrow morning, it's a 'posh' one so am struggling to find a better class of tat to take:rotfl:.

Am declaring September's total at £305.42. Phew, just made my target.

    See you all in October:beer:

    Thanks, I didn't know that:T.

I think I might know the brand of these products I'm testing as one of the screening questions was 'Do you currently use (type of product) by XX?

I don't (too expensive for me:o) so I suspect it may be the current or updated formulation of that;)

A final £1.08 added for me from Qmee today.

£50.50 for September. Not quite the £300, but for my first try, I'm happy. Totally in next month, I know I have £80 ready to hit the account in October from some cashback, so bring it on!

  • My September total is £223.99. I'm quite pleased with this for my first month doing the challenge, especially as you lot have inspired me to get back to doing surveys, so that will pay off in the months to come once I accumulate enough to pay out. And I have been doing Receipt Hog, which is fun and easy to do. I still haven't got around to listing anything on eBay, not have I done a bootsale, so the house is still full of STUFF :(

I'm not counting in my total any of the bits and pieces I've earned doing jobs, because now that I have given up my teaching job, my book-keeping, supply teaching and salsa teaching are how I'm going to earn my living. This is my first month of NOT having a salary paid into the bank at the end of the month *gulp!*. But I've done 6 days supply teaching, and lots of book-keeping which I'll eventually get paid for when it's finished and the tax returns are done. The salsa is a fairly regular weekly amount which my partner and I save for holidays. Oh yes, we also DJ'd at a wedding, and were paid a deposit for a Christmas party, so our holiday fund is up to over £500 at the moment! Just as well, as the plan is to go to Cuba next year (haven't actually told my partner that yet :/ )

On Monday I start a 2-week supply placement - I haven't actually worked full-time since 194, so it's going to be a shock to the system, but I shall look forward to being paid!

I'd like to join the October challenge - Aesop, when you set up the thread, do you post the link here? I often have problems finding things on the forum, there's so much there, and I stumbled across this thread by mistake!
  • Declaring 306.46 for September. Pleased with that because it's far better than nothing.

Hoping that October is more fruitful! Well done everyone on anything that you've raised this month.

Well done, latinaid, that's a great result for your first month:T. When I first started I only dare opt for £5 a day as the prospect of managing the full £10 was very daunting:o. It's amazing how it becomes possible to hit the £10 thanks to everyone's help and encouragement. You'll do it, don't worry:beer:

Keep a look out on this thread. Aesop will post a link to next month's thread on this one. Ooops, Aesop has already replied to you while I was typing. She said earlier that she'd be doing it tonight:j. She's very busy at the moment but she'll do it as soon as she can:A

Well I've decided that I'll be aiming for about £150 next month as we go on holiday on the 18th for 2 weeks lol so no chance for me to earn anything there, and I intend to chill and just enjoy myself! I didn't make near the £300 this month but I made some and as a reward I paid the full £300 off the debt I wanted to try and clear LOL

Yes I'm weird... my reward is to pay off debts... (well you could argue less stress on my holiday is really my reward...)
