Hi guys, it's hilstep back again.
I have spent two weeks in hospital. My knee went manky and I had to have an op to clean it out and a fortnight of antibiotics. Now home with a vac pac on my knee. The huge hole left over from the op is slowly closing up.
It has taken nine weeks so far, and I certainly could have done without it!:mad:
Hope everyone else is doing better!
Going back to the hospice day centre tomorrow. Life is beginning to get back to normal at last.
I'm getting carers three times a day too, which helps.
If I don't post don't worry!

Just pootling in again, having spent the afternoon swearing at my new laptop, it took a hiss fit as it wasn't liking our wifi. Sorted now. I think.

Hilstep that sounds awful, must have hurt like anything, I was going to put a word that might get me banned.

Lame Wolf, that's dreadful. I used to belong to a forum, quite large, where people had a range of backgrounds and beliefs, people tended to be more interested in finding out about things, not try to get rid of people with different ideas. How very dare they! I've friends who have all sorts of beliefs that 5 may not actually share but the reason we are friends is because we see the goodness in each other. Though some days I have a diminishing store of thst.

LaineyT, well well! I think I might not wish to stay, the place would have been poisoned for me.

TA, best wishes for your husband's tests, I did mean to post that earlier.

I am flagging now but need to keep going, I do need a proper night's sleep. If I do what I want, which is to go to bed NOW I'll be up at 2 again.

Lainey - it's good that your toxic supervisor has gone, perhaps calm and professionalism will return to the workplace. And maybe you too?

Hilstep - what a nightmare for you, so sorry to read about your woes and glad you're on the mend.

Lame Wolf - how horrible for you and how horrible of them. Such intolerance is rubbish these days. As one totally without any spiritual / religious belief I don't find it difficult to accept others and their myriad beliefs. Whatever rocks your boat!

My day was busy, productive and very sunny. Tomorrow will be a quiet one I hope.

Well the Royal visit went well, they were late as usual, did not get to us until around 2.30. Tea/coffee and cake went down well, SIL was pleased to see OH looking better than she expected.

Tour of the house and the estate before we sent them on their way to Cambridge.

We were both crackered when they had gone, I did a quiche from the freezer for supper with a salad, we just had ice cream for dessert. Early night, we have to be up and dressed n the morning, they are coming to rip the bathroom out.......workmen came today to patch the Tarmac and concrete the pavement and the path where they had put the gas in, so no holes left now.

We need the chap from the heating company to come now and tell us when they are going to start the heating.

I did a lot of googling after spending a couple of hours this morning desperate for the teasmade to produce a cup of tea.

I eventually worked out that maybe the teapot was not properly positioned and "clicked in" so will see what happens tomorrow.

DD comes round tomorrow to give me a lift to slimming club and middle dd comes round on Thursday evening for a bite to eat and to collect the chrome mug tree I have for her. I am going to see if I can fix the bread maker and make a large tray of lasagne to freeze tomorrow.
I still have some sorting out to do with a few boxes still to be unpacked but will take my time.
