The only way the Tories could ever be squeaky clean is to wash them in quicklime or sodium hydroxide ;)

Tory's, Labour, UKIP, Libdem ....... they all need a wash in that stuff

Reform will happen when it happens, just as did bank charges, PPT, and clamping. Before that it was votes for women and lead painted cots, slowly slowly catchee monkee. Let us content ourselves in the fact that it does not affect us.

Even if the PPCs go to the wall, the poor, the vulnerable, and the stupid will still be conned by Brighthouse, Payday Loans, rogue landlords, sell your gold at a pittance shops, and pay £100 for their made in Bangladesh for a fiver trainers.

My own view is that we should stop wiping backsides and point people at the resources available to fight the companies, those too inept to use a search engine must take their chances. If the PPCs flourish, buy their shares.

The British pubic will NOT BE SCAMMED

The mind boggles. I won't enquire further! :D
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just presently ploughing through the threads on PePiPoo - just reading all this stuff consumes so much time, let alone trying to answer every single 'how do I write a letter' post.

It seems to me that we are moving away from dealing with PPCs as more and more threads are stimulated by solicitor involvement.

DP, do you not draw the moral line a bit higher than that?!

Thanks for that....thats the best laugh that I've had in ages! The British public get scammed all the time..they will do whatever they Murdoch press shoves down their throats.

I think (and I am very much at the edges of this whole thing) that it's Beavis. The PPCs are licking their greedy little chops as many of them think that it's a catch-all that allows them to take people to court with impunity.

Of course many do, depends on how you handle the scam, some fail, others win, all depends what "bottle" one has and who gives a toss what the press say anyway

And quite where are these resources?

PePiPoo? - Principally the same "crowd" as those here.

CAG? - Really? I used to post there but became so horrified at some of the advice provided by so-called regulars that I became extremely tired of being shouted down by those who clearly had no knowledge of the small claims system beyond what they had read in other posts.

Their insistence that everything is done on the forum seriously disadvantages posters IMHO

Legal Beagles? - As good as it is on occasions sometimes I wonder at the obvious ignorance of PPC World that some of the posters there still have.

    Where else?

CAB / TS / SRA / CSA / FCA? - Really? What have any of these institutions done in just the last 4 years to show that they are prepared to deal with the nonsense that is going on in PPC World.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

And quite where are these resources?

Where, all over the net, in public libraries, in the pages of WHICH?, professional journals, TV documentaries.

You have missed out one that I use frequently, HMG's websites. Also, many solicitors websites contain a lot of usual information.

Cag is not the only source of mis-information, MSE is just as bad. Read some of the advice given on the renting, letting, and buying property boards, also the consumer advice offered by some posters is woefully out of date.

What has the SRA done? Well, it has banned a huge number of dodgy solicitors, 174 pages of them here.

    http://www.solicitorstribunal.org.uk/search/JudgementSearch.aspx

PPCs tend to affect the gullible, the lazy. the stupid and the corrupt. This is not such a big deal as some make out.
