Saturday 21st January
Yesterday ended up being a NSD - felt crampy all day long so I didn't leave the house. That now puts me at 9/15. I'm really pleased with myself yesterday - I didn't feel great, Tom couldn't be bothered to cook and suggested takeaway. I know we don't have enough money left in the budget for a takeaway so I made chicken fajitas for dinner. It was just as quick as waiting for the takeaway man too and there is no feeling guilty about it later!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Monday 23rd January
I'm super tired today. It's always tough going back to work after a week off and getting back into the swing of things!
Today was not a NSD - was tempted by real coffee!! I also had to catch the tram work car park as I would have been late otherwise. So that's £5.50 spent. Traffic was terrible this morning so I didn't expect it to be do busy, but it was pretty thick with fog so there you go.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Tuesday 31 December
So, payday has arrived. £850 straight into the joint account, £100 into wedding fund and £31 into the Christmas savings pot.
I had a pay a fine of £50 which is a pain but that's now sorted. I've also paid off £45 from the credit card, the rest should come off automatically with the direct debit but then its all paid off!!!:j:j:j:j
I overspent on shopping last month so I really need to pull that back out n February. I might not be where I want to be but I'm making good progress so I'm pleased about that!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

February 2
Checked my MBNA balance which is now showing that I only have £25 left on credit card to pay so now that's updated I have updated my signature. Today has been a NSD so I'm at 1/15. I really need to meet this target this month because so much depends on it.
Tom was moaning stating he's really struggling being this poor and it fed up with it this morning, but we have to allocate and save hard otherwise the credit card will have to take the hit - I don't want that, neither does Tom. January is always a hard month so hopefully he'll feel better this month.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Saturday 4th February
So, yesterday was not a NSD. I had an awful day at work, my manager (jokingly) said he wanted to slap me 'round the head' which irritated me regardless. So I buckled I had a cafe nero at the mere suggestion! I also went out for works pub quiz - spent around £15 (two drinks and bus-fare) so that leaves me with £15 spending money for the rest of the month. It will be tough but I'll just aim for as many NSD as possible!
Today we're going out for my friends leaving party - different budget for this one though as it's both of us. It will cost at least £10 plus drinks and I'm hoping we can grab a present for cheaps. Will have to have a look.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Sunday 5th February
Yesterday was a NSD so I'm now at 2/15.
I had a great night last night, it was my friends leaving do as she's off to Australia for six months and there was a house party around her brothers house. Was a very cheap night - brought our own drinks (ended up not buying any pressies) and then some friends came round mine after and we stayed up until two this morning playing cards against humanity.
Went shopping today (instead of yesterday) - spent about £70, not quite sure how we managed to spend that much (did get a few yellow sticker products though) but the fridge is now full and I don't think the freezer can physically fit anything else in!
I've also defrosted a chicken to roast for dinner today so tomorrow I'll be using up leftovers - probably in the form of pie!!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00
