Well done!:j:T One debt less to deal with, you're doing it!
Sorry to hear you've not been well. This cold weather is rubbish. Let's hope spring comes quick and we can all have less colds and bugs.
An idea about your budget, next month mayeb take some out of your food budget and put it in your spends? Just a thought.
Might be an idea - I was hit with a fine this month (naughty me!) and that's what's done it because I took it out of my spends not emergency fund.
I'll see how I get on next month - we upped the food budget do we have nice food in the house (and hopefully feel less inclined to have a takeaway!) well, that was the plan. We've had pay-day takeaway and valentines takeaway so not as bad as it could have otherwise been.
Grocery budget has been truly spent this month - got just over £10 left but we spent about £20 on alcohol when we went shopping as friends are coming over on Saturday. We never usually spend that much on booze!!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Saturday 25th February
I have a busy day today but it should be a NSD. *fingers crossed*
We have friends coming over for tea later, and a night of drinking and games around our place. I'm looking forward to it and we have everything in that we need (which is why it should be a successful NSD!)
Plan for today-
Clean kitchen
-
Clean living room/dining room
-
Clean bedrooms
-
Clean bathroom
-
Prepare dinner

Tuesday 28 February
Went home early yesterday as I felt awful. Staying at home today to rest so a quiet day is to be had this pay day. Yes, you heard right, today is pay day! Budget is now sorted and money divided between accounts.
£850 into joint
£150 into wedding fund
£28 into X-mass pot
I've worked out that after specsavers, car insurance and petrol that leaves me £100 spending money so £20 a week. I am in a MUCH better position this month with money! I'm pretty sure our 2 months off for council Tax starts a March too so that should make the emergency fund grow without too much effort. Any left over will go into the wedding account.
I'm also going to try really hard to hit 15 NSD for March. To try and keep my fancy coffee fix under control I am going to buy a cafe Nero gift card - put £20 on it and that can be my budget for posh coffee for the month. I'll then remove my debit card from my purse for when I'm at work. That should help significantly! That way the spend day will be the day I fork out for the gift card.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

March 1st 2017
I am happy to report a NSD already! So I'm at 1/15. I didn't go to work today (wanted to make sure I was better before I pass it on to anyone at work). Not sure if it's a bug or something I ate but my stomach has been tender/sore - I ache, feel tired and erm... going to the bathroom has not been too pleasant an experience. Feeling better this evening so will go back to work tomorrow.
I must make lunches for tomorrow tonight and have that sorted. That will give me the time I need to get ready tomorrow without rushing.
I've m also going to try really hard this month with my diet. 8 glasses of water a day, my five a day. as it's len I'm going to try and find myself - (I'm not particularly religious but I like the spirit of Lent - I will try to find some peace within myself and connect with myself/others around me).February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

March 2nd 2017
So, I went into work today. Did my work but left early as I felt exhausted come 2:00pm. Left at half three but I pretty much did my allocation so I'm not bothered. My manager was fine with it.
Made good use of leftovers tonight from yesterday's dinner. I had madexway too much rice so eggg fried rice it was with chicken. It was pretty tasty for something I just threw together!
I've got the boy checking house insurance quotes at the moment as our policy runs out this month and I'd like to see if we can get it cheaper. We'll see!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Friday 3rd March
Another good day today. Felt like I got loads done at work - very productive.
Another low spend day today but I don't mind as I found extra money in my purse so it hasn't come out of any budget.
I'm also pretty happy that the boy is cooking dinner tonight! One less thing for me to do this evening.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Yup, 3 days of March gone through, just 28 to go. I've been signed off work and not due back until the 13th so I'm hoping I can keep off the Amazon 1clicks and just binge on boxsets. Already watched the whole of Broadchurch series 1 (loved it)
I'm slightly annoyed that the Ocado shop featured loads of what I call crap food. Pastries, pain au chocolats, crumpets etc. I'm annoyed two fold - 1) waste of money 2) I'm off the diet which I did so well between Sep-Dec losing 12kgs.
