Hi all. The tide came in and washed away my line! I've not done well SW wise over the last few days. It's been happily busy - apart from football on Friday night - but it's involved a LOT of eating out. Tomorrow's meeting with scales will be scary.

Well done, losers. Stick in there strugglers. Welcome back, travellers.

    See you all tomorrow.

Well found the venue even though the satnav said we'd reached our destination when we were still a couple of miles away . Then we had no signal to ring anyone . By sheer luck we turned the right way but missed the entrance so went sailing past and waved at my sister who was waving at us to say stop here :rotfl:
Soooo to the party :o was nice to see some of my family but my poor boy was so out of his comfort zone getting hugged by complete strangers (to him) but bless his heart he persevered and stuck to me like glue :D
It wasn't the best of gatherings so we took turns to take photos of our bored faces and send them to hubby (who managed to get out of the invite ). Must admit we were glad to leave but sorry to say goodbye to family we don't see very often (complicated story).
Anyway today has been quiet, just the way I like it :D
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Morning all

Reporting in with a loss of 2lbs this week - that's last week's gain gone so I'm back on 3.5 stone total weight loss.

TIE - that party sounds more like a wake than a celebration! DH and I both come from large families and my DD and DS hate family gatherings when they have to socialise with people they don't know but who know them (by association rather than in real life). I bet your DS was thankful to get away! :rotfl:

Greentiger - just keep drawing another line... today is another day, start again, you probably haven't done as much damage as you think.

Maman - do you think the HB braised steak recipe would work with diced stewing steak? I've got a bag of it in the freezer that came from the cash and carry and isn't very good - it needs a lot of picking over to get rid of bits of fat and gristle, but I don't want to throw it away so I was thinking of doing the whole lot in the slow cooker HB style to see how it turns out.

It's a lovely morning here again, sunny but very cold! It hasn't stopped DH deserting me to go and play golf! I might have a morning off and go shopping.... ;)

    Have a great week everyone.

Sammy what a worrying time for you, I really hope your son is okay. Hang in there.

maman what is YS? I've seen it mentioned a few times on MSE but never know what it stands for.

Well done to our losers and commiserations to our gainers and stayed the samers. Mary have you ever done an SAS log? I found it really helpful in identifying the little spots where I was going wrong and lost 4lbs the week I did it - ask your consultant for one.

Greentiger I am drawing a line in the sand this week - we can do it together.

    My menu for today:
Breakfast: Weetabix with milk (HEA and HEB)
Lunch: Ham salad with tsp dressing (1 syn)
Dinner: Stir fried chicken and vegetables with noodles (1 syn for sweet chilli sauce)
Snacks: undecided but probably grapes and a banana - although maman would probably say I should keep it as a speed day! :D

    Morning.

Last week started so well, then we got the news that my Nana has been rushed into hospital and won't be coming out basically. Especially gutting as she's the closest thing to a mum I've ever known.

So, it's been eating and drinking what I fancy, can stomach and can grab from the hospital. At work now with a salad box and a fruit box, trying to undo some of the damage. I'll be back at the hospital on Thursday.

Anyway, last night I made a huge non SW lasagne. Comfort food at it's "finest". Trying to work out the syns now.

I had 1/4 of it and hadn't had my HEXA so I think I can write off the cheddar and the 0.5 of 1.5 pint of milk and just count a quarter of the rest of it:

    3.5 ounces flour (18?)
    3.5 ounces butter (35?)
    1 pints 1% milk (10?)
    125g parmesan (27?)

I make it 90 syns per lasagne :o 22.5 each. Not too bad for a treat meal and it is delicious but still :o

    Today then

    B - Bacon sandwich (HEXB)

D - Ham, egg, new potato and cottage cheese salad, melon and pineapple

    T - Chicken and chorizo bake (2.5 syns + 1/2 HEXA)

Sorry to hear about your Nana Top Girl
  • Oh I don't think there is a naughty step big enough for me :o :rotfl:

I had a brilliant time at the wedding party on Saturday. All day I stuck to sw but in the night the only food was pizza, they had a create your own wood fired pizza van! I did have one topped with veggies. I had 7 glasses of wine throughout the evening.

But it was yesterday that was the worst. Breakfast out, lunch out and Chinese for tea. Ughh.

Taking a holiday this wk as no point weighing (I should face the scales but it's too much faff to take baby out just to be told I'm a piggy lol!).

Line drawn, totally worth it for such a fab weekend and my first proper outing post baby. But back on it today. Will go food shopping tomorrow so I'll get lots of speed stuff, but have enough sw friendly stuff to get me through today. I will post my menu later.

Sorry for what I've missed, well done to the losers x

Same from me Top Girl, and also forgot to send best wishes to Sammy - I hope the tests show nothing seriously wrong with your son.

Yesterday ended up not being good synwise. Met up with friends and ended up having 3 days worth of syns!!!

Line drawn and back on it today. Will try and pull back the syns over the next few days before WI but don't think I'll be able to pull them all back.

B - porridge made with water; fruit
    L - ham salad
D - Egg, chips, beans; melon
