Good to have you back from Madrid mrsp. That doesn't sound like too much damage was done.

Shala I too am having a fakeaway feast from the curry club book tonight! I have the bharjis, bombay potatoes and chicken tikka masala cooking :D I tried the Lamb Bhuna last week but it had a horrendous after taste and went in the bin :o have no idea what I did wrong there

-0.5LBS This week and the frustration continues. I'm not sure weekly weigh ins with these results are really beneficial to me. They frustrate me P!%5 me off and then I cry :o I am working so hard at the gym/bootcamp/zumba/running and my food has been bang on. This is week 5/6 of teeny losses so my body should of adapted by now to the exercise surely! I still have 7st to lose so it's not like I'm close to target either!

Mary - do you think it might be helpful if you posted your menus on here so others can see what you're doing? It may be that your not synning things that should be for example.

Do your measure your HEA & HEB? Do you weigh things which need weighing when synning them?

Perhaps you need to mix up what you're eating a bit more as sometimes our bodies just get used to eating the same foods all the time.

Perhaps challenge yourself to have a different HEB every day; to have a certain number of Speed foods; drink at least 2 litres of water a day - that sort of thing.

When do you fly back out to Spain? It can't be long now..

How many weeks have you got before you go back to Spain? Thinking it's probably the end of the month as that's when most sites here seem to close.

We're closing the shop on Monday 31st October and we'll be on the ferry the following Sunday, the 6th November. We usually close on the last Saturday of October, which falls at the end of half term, however there's a classic car rally here that weekend so we made the decision to stay open for the whole weekend. It's going to be a juggling act as we try to run the stocks down before we close, but we'll need to have some fresh stuff just in case, and we'll be doing fish and chips so cleaning the kitchen will have to wait.

I can understand how frustrating it is for you Mary and reiterate all of Denise's advice and I'd also suggest you think about portion control. I know SW say eat as much as you like, but I'm not sure that works for everyone. I try to stick to 3 meals a day, restricting carbs, bananas, yogurts and snacks and choose speed fruit and veg in preference to other free fruit and veg as much as possible.

Have you tried doing EESP? That really helps focus the mind on how much free food is available that isn't Speed.

Have a good evening everyone, I'm looking forward to Strictly!

Have already pulled back 5 syns:D - only had 2 small glasses of wine instead of the planned 3.

Think I now only have to rein back about 3 syns or something like that over the next 4 days, easy peasy!

Well done to the SOTWs and thank you, as always Shala for the chart.

Just running in to say lost 1/2 lb this week, really happy with that as it's [STRIKE]shark[/STRIKE] star week and I felt really bloated and sloshy on Thursday morning.

Spent today making a boat-load of soup - five portions of carrot & coriander and five of leek & potato are now in the freezer for workday lunches; last week was so cold in the office I really couldn't get enthused about salad any more.

I can so relate to what you've posted; I've been good this week and to lose only 1/2 lb is demoralising.

However it is a loss - which is the only positive I can spin on it . Someone posted on our groups Facebook page asking how to lose weight and someone suggested changing their hea & heb so this is what I'm trying next week.

As for the exercise as my class leader would ask are you seeing/ feeling off the scales results?

Disappointed with a 1lb gain. Can't understand why as been on plan and within Syns. Only thing I can think is I have had more carbs than last week

Our bodies do some funny things sometimes and we just have to "go with the flow". I'm sure it'll come off just as quickly as it went on if you stick to plan this week.

    Today is another EE day:

B - Fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, potatoes, sausage (0.5), beans
L - Roast chicken dinner - chicken, roast potatoes, roasted peppers & onions, cabbage, cauliflower, green beans, HM onion gravy
    D - something on toast

    HEA - milk
    HEB - 3 crustless bread

    Syns - undecided as yet

Was hoping for STS this week as the stressful situation is ongoing and won't be resolved for a few weeks and I admit I did slip due to CBAness and tiredness however stress is obviously some kind of BM burner as I actually lost 2 lb

Waiting for the Sainsbury's delivery then home made bacon and egg mac muffins I think.

I do think with SW the temptation is to eat more as well as eat different and I think that accounts for some of the disappointments. I find snacking doesn't help at all.
