He's sent the BPA template and heard nothing back yet. They were posted in time unfortunately. We've only got today to pay the first one and then he's worried it will go up to 100 quid.

So what's the point in appealing in the first place (I mean, I know we recommend an appeal and we know why we fight this bunch - but why did you do so)? If he was going to fold and pay, this is incompatible with any parking ticket appeal.

You can never pay at the discount AND appeal, not even with a Council PCN. The discount is a bribe, not to appeal and he is falling for it. Having said that, it is the Range so not much hope of a complaint working...

Is it really better in his mind to support the scam by paying them without a fuss? It's people like him that led to the growth of this whole industry. If MOST people did not pay, this firm would never have become the monster it is now.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • He appealed because I forced him to. I totally agree with you. I would fight it and it's in my name but he keeps telling me what he's read about people losing to them.

I can't deny that cases are lost - the consequences of the Supreme Court decision clobbering consumers.

    Getting serious!

I'm sure you have control of the ultimate sanction here. Threaten the inevitable! :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Oh dear ... and you will give it to a scammer, what a waste of money
  • It's killing me guys. I lost my car park ticket today and instead of paying an extra 1.50 for the lost ticket I retraced my steps through the town centre and found it again.
