Thank you Emilianozapata. My daughter who was 9 y/o and I were taken through a Family Law case in 2006-2008. My request for transcriptions of my data was ignored. I have got the judgments and statements but not what was actually said in court, I asked for that data as I was sure that the Judge in my case was very negative towards me. Yes I was beaten up several times by my ex husband and naturally I was scared of seeing my ex husband again even though it was in a court room. The Judge in the so-called fact-finding statement said that I probably deserved to be beaten up ! And yes, he actually said this, my solicitor said that we could complain about what the Judge said and how I was portrayed. The request for this information for that transcription arrived but what the Judge said about me wasn't in the transcripts. I wanted to take my case which I did to the European Courts which I managed to do. I was taken back to court in March 2010. My ex never got permanent custody of our child and never maintained contact with her when he left in 1998, when she was a baby. He disappeared for many years until our daughter was 9 years old and then he applied for permanent custody of a child he didn't know. It soon became apparent that all he wanted was for me to pay him child benefit and maintenance even though he never paid maintenance. He wasn't awarded permanent custody and walked away from her never wanting to keep in contact with our daughter. The UK Family Law needs an overhaul as I know that I was abused financially through this system ! He was fully legal aided and never contributed a penny towards his case. I worked full time and never received a penny of legal aid and I was left with a 12 year old to look after plus £26,000 of legal debts. For many years I was in financial hardship but now in 2016 I have paid these debts but it has been extremely difficult. I looked into suing the legal aid people but all I got was unanswered letters ! Funny how all these so-called experts just go quiet and you get stone-walled silence.
