I am not carrying a knife in public. The knife is under my pillow. If he breaks in my house and attcks me in my room then I will defend myself. He is dangerous. Don't listen to what the gruesome twosome are saying. My sentence was suspended because of the exstensive DA I have suffered at the mercy of his hands. I have moved house to get away from him. He is a domestic abuser who lost his control over me. He promised to get me back. He is back trying to control me through fear and this is why I am trying to find cheap home security to prove it is him so the police can deal with him. The gruesome twosome questioned the reason why I posted on this board? A thread at the top is about DV. People on this board know the problems I am facing with him.

Hold on a second. This wasn't self defence, you attacked him. Whatever he had done, on this occasion you committed a violent and serious crime.
Yes I understand your sentence was suspended, but two years suspended sentence still comes with a very serious guilty verdict.

On top of that I made a number of suggestions.

No point coming on here a being the victim and just glossing over what is a serious crime.

I don't know any of the history of this having not seen or read the previous (deleted) thread. But...if I thought someone was trying to break into my house and harm me I'd probably sleep with a knife or weapon close by too. I mean, it would be stupid not to have something close by to defend yourself with. It would be a totally different scenario if I went out, armed with a knife, with thoughts of harming a person but this is the person's home and someone, apparently, is attempting to break in and harm the her.

There was not any fighting or arguments. My thanked post count is still visible you know. If I had started something like you described, the thank count would be 0. The thread was removed because I posted far too much information and someone was posting newspaper links with potential court cases. My inbox still has messages from people who asked for the thread to be removed for my privacy. One of those ladies is called ampersand. I'm sure she won't mind confirming the real truth instead of people relying on your bad memory.

The thank count does not go down, even when posts are removed. The thread was an absolute war zone! You even posted at the end of it asking for people to stop fighting.

You are showing yourself to be a compulsive liar, I'm afraid, and not a very good one. As such I don't think people should go too much by your version of events alone.

Go to the DIY board if you seriously want advice on securing your home. Stay here if you want to continue trolling.

    The gruesome twosome?

    Grow up, please.
  • I appreciate you are living in a tense situation, but messing around with home-made fingerprint traps is ridiculous.

You need to focus on making your property as secure as possible wrt doors/windows and possible outdoor motion-sensitive lights. Your local copshop may be able to advise on this. But don't do this because of him; do it because it's a sensible thing for a person who lives alone to do.
