Being harassed by my ex!

Hello all,

I posted on here a long time ago when I was up in court for fighting back against my abusive ex. My thread was removed for containing too much personal information relating to the court case.

At that time, I made a few friends from here who are also victims of DA and they invited me to a private forum where I could discuss the problems with my ex. They have advised me to post back on here because, to prove I am being harassed by him again I am going to have to invest in some home security.

I am on a 2 year suspended sentence for fighting back against him. He vowed revenge on me after I was not sent to prison. Everything has been fine on the western front until early May, when I started receiving nuisance calls on my landline late at night.

BT changed my number and the calls have stopped. However, a man has been coming around my house late at night banging on my door. My kitchen window has had an attempt to force it open. I have seen this man under the light at the back of my house. I know it's my ex by the way he walks. He had an injury to his hip when he was a teenager and walks with a limp on his left leg. The man under the light also walked with the same limp.

I have contacted the police who have visited my ex. His new partner gave him an alibi making proving it is him coming to my house impossible. This is starting to terrify me. I finish work at 23:00PM getting home at about 23:30PM. Last night when I came home, as I was opening my door, I heard footsteps in the gravel coming from the garden at the side of my house. I locked the door behind me but when I looked out there was nobody there.

To prove it is him. I am going to need to buy CCTV that is good and cheap. My uncle set a trap by putting sticky tar on the gate to try get his finger print. We have a hand print on the gate but the person was wearing gloves. I am living in fear. I am sleeping with a knife under my pillow in case he gets in. There is a history of DA from him and he is a dangerous man.

If you can help me with cost effective surveillance equipment to prove it is him visiting my house at night, I will be grateful. Money is tight at the moment. I have only been working for the last 2 months after being off for a long time suffering from depression. To be honest with you all, this is the last thing I need.

I will update this later after I come home from work. Thank you in advance for taking your time to read this.

Good and cheap don't mix well.

I'd recommend having some security lights put on.

Cheap CCTV basically wont be good enough for the police.

A large dog is a cheaper and better choice. (+ companionship)

No offence - but you were convicted of a crime. Which means the court didn't believe it was self defence. No reason for anyone else to believe it either.

Ah you avoided jail? I seem to remember you admitted in court to wanting to hurt him, which is what got you convicted for glassing him in the face, requiring him to need 36 stitches. Is that correct?

The thread got deleted after fighting broke out, which is the norm on here.

Tropez is your man, regarding security. Not sure if he's still posting?

The court case does not need to be discussed. That is history. DA was a mitigating factor in the case. My sentence reflects that.

We don't need to discuss the court case. If Tropez reads this. Please help.

There was no need to mention it if you didn't want to bring it up.

If that sentence is mitigated, then you really did a number on him. 2 years suspended is no joke.

Not discussing the court case, nor justifying the man wanting his revenge on you! But the background info is relevant. You were convicted of GBH on him and the attack was serious.

Sici have you informed the police of any of this? I would definitely file an intelligence report with them if not already done

This gets good reviews and has various deal sizes depending on purse deepness and number of cameras required.

    Edit.
Dont forget to add a HDD though, its not obvious that you have to add your own, although they do like a generic cheap one.

So you've glassed him, and now you're thinking of knifing him??

Get your home secure, so that no-one can break in. Get an attack alarm. Get a dog (as someone said). Don't go making things even worse for yourself. A knife is an offensive weapon and you're on a suspended sentence.
