Being harassed by my ex!

We recently installed this at church:

It works, it's simple to get going, it has a warranty. You can also connect it to your mobile phone so you can check what's going on before you come home. Check with the ICO what signs you might need to put up and if you need to register - not sure what the rules are for homes.
Others have covered the knife... really not a good idea.0 -

Instead she has posted on the Marriages board again about an incident that caused a lot of arguments and fighting the last time she posted, just before she was due to find out whether or not she was going to be sent to jail.
The attack on the ex was particularly nasty which is why I remember it, and the username. Not excusing his revenge tactics (if indeed it is him). I wonder if Womens Aid might be better placed to help her either move house or hide from this guy.
But starting up another controversial thread on here is not going to end well.0 -

I am not carrying a knife in public. The knife is under my pillow. If he breaks in my house and attcks me in my room then I will defend myself. He is dangerous. Don't listen to what the gruesome twosome are saying. My sentence was suspended because of the exstensive DA I have suffered at the mercy of his hands. I have moved house to get away from him. He is a domestic abuser who lost his control over me. He promised to get me back. He is back trying to control me through fear and this is why I am trying to find cheap home security to prove it is him so the police can deal with him. The gruesome twosome questioned the reason why I posted on this board? A thread at the top is about DV. People on this board know the problems I am facing with him.0

You don't want cheap CCTV, often you images from CCTV to idenify someone and the images are poor quality.neneromanova wrote: »Never keep a knife under the pillow to use as a weapon. You will be prosecuted very harshly as it's like pre-meditated. Keep a golf club or sporting equipment around the room to use. That was it's not pre-meditated
However just don't have 1 golf club as could be said kept as a weapon, I have a set of golf clubs, bag, trolley, balls etc.0 -
Is it possible to 'beef up' your bedroom door, and add some decent bolts ot it, turning it into a sort of 'safe room'?“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Hold your hands up and say oops you're not carrying a knife let me put mine down, make this a fair fight?
If someone broke into my house I'd use any means necessary to defend myself
I didn't write the law, just summarising it for you.
Do as you wish, face the consequences.

That link is showing me the product is discontinued. Do you know how good the night vision is on a camera at that price range?
That one, you can identify people in total darkness. We tested it inside turning out all the lights. You might be able to get it elsewhere, or something similar.0
