Is there a correct side of the car, when attaching a GB sticker, for driving on the continent?

You only need it on the rear plate: the front one is optional.0 -

Nice one , but I think you know what I mean.I'm not sure there is but if driving in the EU with a GB/EU symbol on your number plates then you don't need a separate GB sticker.
I don't have a GB/EU symbol on my number plates. You only need it on the rear plate: the front one is optional.
I'm aware of that.
What I'm asking is, does the sticker have to go on the right hand side (ie. the drivers side, of a RHD car), or the left hand side (ie. the passenger side, of a RHD car)?
Oh and, sorry to spoil your joke Sosumi, but the sticker will be going on the inside of the car, because it's a self-clinging, inside window sticker.

Touche.
:rotfl:
It is conventional to put the thing on the nearside (left hand side, viewed from the back), so that it is displayed in front of the following driver's eyes. (If he's a continental European – doesn't work if s/he's a fellow Brit. )
We have them on the rear number plates of our cars and also big ones on the back of the roof boxes (in the middle).
I suppose we'll have to remove the EU/GB number plates in a couple of year's time and go for full-blooded GB stickers, instead.
Are you sure those internal ones are legal (especially in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, where they tend to be a bit anal about such things)?
Have a good trip, anyway! :money:0 -

I don't know what the correct size is.
Perhaps you could help, by comparing sizes with me (and you people at the back can stop sniggering )?
Mine is 5.5" long, and 4" wide (I've already told you people at the back, to stop sniggering ), and the lettering is 2.75" high.0 -

I wouldn't pay that!
Here they are on ebay for £10.50 a pair including postage:

Or if your current number plates are in good condition then the money saving option is to add stickers to them for £0.99 a pair:

I put stickers on existing number plates, looked good for two years and then started coming off with car cleaning but as they were only £1 for two I guess they were OK.0
