(reasonably) last minute car hire in Orlando

Just about to shoot off to America tomorrow, we're due to spend 5 nights in Orlando 28/08 - 02/09 and I'm sorting out car hire now (don't ask, bloody Thomas Cook!), I'm seeing prices of £250 -ish for something like a Ford Mustang convertible, that seems incredibly cheap. Am I missing something or is it really that straight forward? I just kinda feel like I'm overlooking a key detail that'll increase the price somewhat.

Doesn't work for those dates0 -
You'll need car hire excess insurance.
https://www.bettersafe.com/Products/Car-Hire-Excess-Insurance-Protection is an example
Look here for other examples.
Will add another £15 or so(perhaps less) to your quote.
You'll need a credit card on which they can ringfence £2500.
That's it.
Interesting, if you try to book the car direct from National Car Hire, they state that it is not available; https://www.nationalcar.com/en_US/car-details/us/star-convertible.html0 -
Here's the quote I looked at, mine's a little more expensive as it includes an extra driver. It's with Sixt incidentally.
I haven't actually dug into their fuel policy, and the like, yet.

Since you are booking directly with Sixt, you are fully covered. Don't bother to have 10am as the time of return. keep it to 11.30 or 12. Likely you won't need it, but if your flight time changes, it means that you can keep the car for longer.0 -
So there's really no excess at all booking direct? Fantastic!
Even the worst fuel policies I can see are cheap compared to UK fuel prices, is there defo nowhere else I'll be stung?0 -
