(Possible) bargain USA Car Hire site

**check, double check and then recheck again**
I've just completed a booking via www.carhiremarket.com
(no I'd never heard of them either
, but ) for a USA trip over Christmas time.
I did a search via all of the usual suspects, brokers, direct with the hire companies, quidco link etc and carhiremarket came out substantially cheaper than anyone else, then I found a 15% voucher code (USA15 if its of use to anyone else) to really sweeten the price.
I went via quidco and the 6% cashback has just tracked as well.
Long story short, they worked out about £200 cheaper than the usual suspects.
I'm usually ultra cautious when something looks to could to be true, but within 30seconds of hitting the 'buy now' button, I'd got my confirmation email, linking me straight through to Alamo, to enable me to confirm that I'd got the car at the price quoted.
I'm a very happy bunny.
If anyone else is looking for a US rental, run your eye over them, but **check, double check and then recheck again**.
Since 2002 MicronNexus GmbH, the parent company of carhiremarket.com has been providing Europe with the leading car hire comparison platform. The company is fully owned by TUI Travel PLC
p.s if it all goes wrong, I'll repost on here in the future.
p.p.s as of 12th October, my Quidco 6% cash back was rejected. I've appealed and see where it gets me.

The link you posted takes you to the MSE website. :-)
I have just done a phantom booking for the period I will be in the US at the end of the month and it is around 40 quid cheaper than what I paid - and I thought I got a very reasonable rate as well.
One to bookmark for sure.0 -

I've now amended the link
For my trip, it was already well priced before I applied the 15% discount code - if the 6% Quidco cashback ever gets paid, it'll be a brucie.
I've just 'checked in' via the Alamo site and I've got a Full sized 7 seat SUV, with additional drivers a full tank of fuel and the 'standard' Alamo inclusive insurance package for less than a Standard/Intermediate SUV or a Minivan. The same vehicle booked with USRentacar (a company that I've used previously) would cost me over £265 more.
Now that I've done the Online checkin, I'll be able to skip the line, not deal with the service desk saleperson and self select the car of my choice .
p.s on my Alamo reciept the agent was TUI.0 -
I'll take a look at it for future bookings.0

Boxing Day to Arizona for some Winter sun(ish) :j:j:j
Netflights came up trumps for me - the price has doubled since I booked it last month !0 -
Oh, you lucky thing - on two Counts!
We used to get winter sun when DS lived in Florida for eight years. Now they are in New Jersey, with dreadful winters.
We can never book flights well in advance as we have to wait for them to tell us when we're needed.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

By several hundred pounds, the cheapest route for us was NCL-LHR-PHX, then PHX-LHR-NCL.
The BA flights were 12% cheaper booked via Netflights than BA direct and substantially cheaper than booking with AA.
Happy times that the best routing was also the best price.0 -
Interesting. I have found AA cheaper the last few times. MAN to PHL.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
