Hi,
Just wondering if anyone would have a rough idea how much end of tenancy cleaning would cost on a two bedroom flat (2 bathroom), all laminate flooring, would need oven, fridge cleaning. Also bit of mould in shower?
Anyone had this done recently for a flat? im in Gtr Manchester

What was the property like on moving in? That's the condition it needs to be in on moving out.
You do not need a professional clean (whatever that happens to be), or even pay for a cleaner.0 -

Hey, it was in very clean condition which makes me think a professional cleaner had been in. I don't mind paying for a cleaner but the people I've rang all want to come round and see the flat first (fair enough I suppose). Would be good to get a very general cost0 -
Clean the fridge yourself, get HG mould spray for the mould. Cleaners are somewhere between £10 and £15 an hour, max one working day of 8 hours, probably less, depending on the state of the place. No carpet cleaner to hire to hike the costs if it's all laminate. Oven clean is around £60 (or at least it was when I had it done 3 years ago).0

We rent a two bed semi in Greater Manchester and we've just had a quote for £270 but that does include oven, carpet and window cleaning (all stated in the contract).
However, I've text the landlord and he's happy for us to clean it ourselves as long as we do a good job. Ours was brand new when we moved in too but feel myself and my partner are perfectly capable of leaving it sparkling.
Check if your landlord intends to try and enforce a 'professional' clean maybe?0 -
It was part of our lease that we had to get a professional clean so I have forked out £140 for a one bedroom unfurnished flat in West London. Someone on this forum very helpfully told me I don't actually need to pay for the clean even if it's in the lease but to be honest it will be such a rush on the day of moving I don't care anymore. They do everything, like the oven and inside windows. Our bathroom was recently redecorated so I'm not sure if they would clean off mould.0

Thanks for the feeback guys, the HG mould spray looks decent!
I'll speak to my landlord and see what he thinks then0 -
There's no need to speak to your landlord about it, if you do that he will probably tell you that a 'professional clean is required, no if's or buts/ Just clean it yourself and take lots of photos to show that you left it in the same clean condition as when you moved in.0

True, what do you think about the mould in the shower situation, its not excessive but will need resealing in certain areas. Surely this is just a result of normal use, there is no window in the bathroom just an extractor fan0 -
