Halifax reward not credited?

Apologies if this has already been covered.


Has something changed on the Halifax Reward current Account? I usually get the £5 credited on the 1st of the month but have not seen it at all this month.


I know its only a fiver but might as well be in my pocket than theirs

If you met the conditions in July (£750 in and 2 direct debits out) then you'd have got it.

Edited to correct: this doesn't apply to qualify for the monthly reward on Halifax Reward (but does for interest on TSB Classic Plus).

It may show as dated the 1st on your statement, but you'll 'see' it at the end of the 1st working day of the month (could be as late as 5th/6th at its extreme).


July 30th/31st fell over a weekend, so credits made on these days would be dated 1st August. Maybe you funded on one of these days?


You must have already checked your 2 x DDs paid out, so it can't be that.

Perhaps one of the two qualifying DDs is Papal?

Reward was paid on the 2nd of August backdated to the 1st.

If you didnt get this in August you need to check that you

*Paid in at least £750 in your account in July
* Paid out 2 Different DD in July
* Remained in credit in July.

If any of these didn't happen then you have sacrificed your reward but need to check you will qualify for 2nd Septembers payment by making sure this is completed this month.

I looked at my account for July and of course it was my own stupid fault I didn't get the reward (I bet you all knew that!)


The day before I get paid I transfer whatever is left into various savings pots and I must have mis typed because for one evening I had -£1 in my account.


Note to self: don't do transfers when its almost home time!
