I am struggling too had an underfloor leak friday and numerous floods getting it fixed. Took all weekend. No shower from friday til Sunday (hold your nose)
Almost all done now, went to catch up with washing yesterday and guess what ..- yes machine leaked all over kitchen a few times. That's still not fixed.

However would we cope without running water, mind having said that there are ways, surprising really.
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

Well I braved the spiders and have finished top coat, hung washing out (towels) and squirted stardrops with amonia round rottom of oven and rubbed it in a little. i think I have done well cosidering OH came home for some tools and we ended up having a coffee together for 20mins.
Can feel cobwebs on me now though and hope there are no eight legged beasties hiding in my bra or anywhere else LOL.
I hate water leaks and inconvenient messes like that that just happen and make more work so I you have my sympathy NM.
300 words isn't bad it's better than I could do!
Next challenge for me is to give the oven another little scrub before more painting in the playhouse.
    What about everyone else??

Thanks Jamsi, that means I'm a third of the way there!!
well done for all the stuff you've done, that's really good going.
I think little treats like a break for lunch or having a special coffee with your OH are good for moral!!!
aren't cobwebs the strangest things...they feel so weird!
We have some in our tree, they look beautiful when the dew is on them. But a big clap for dealing with them!
    Good luck on the oven....

see you back here in an hour!!!

Needmoney, aren't they just so inconvenient! On a similar, although I caused it mess, I defrosted my freezer accidently...it meant water everywhere....and juices from previously frozen items....glad you are getting there in the cleaning and rectifying though

  • Thank you fellow "Princesses of Housework"
Following my pep talk (clip around the lughole!)
Kitchen spruced up a bit, cleaned inside the doors n' stuff,
Cushions and Curtains, washed and are nearly dry!
Floors swept, whilst baby boy chased me around iin his walker! LOL
Had a sandwich, whilst mooching on here! I avoided this thread, knowing I'd feel guilty!

Cat's litter tray totally scrubbed, disinfected (Is that spelt right:confused: )
Front/back door handles all sparkly and a lovely fresh smell is wafting through the house.

Fridge sorted, and food is ready to be prepared for tea tonight (spag bol)

Now I feel much better, and can sit on here for the next hour and a half not feeling guilty in the slightest!

    THANK YOU Ladies :j :T :j :T :j :T

  • Seeing as it is such a nice day: sod the work and go for a walk. Take whatever small humans/animals are handy and get out. Life is too short to get stressed over housework. Go and feed the ducks/admire the conkers/splosh in any mud. That flylady thing is all very well but dammit we are British and we have long grey wet winters to do chores!!!!:p
