OS Motivation

Options
After being ill for a few months I have dropped off the OS bandwagon and am finding it difficult to get back on. I really need some ideas on how to motivate myself. All ideas welcome.

Thanks

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Yeah, go through your store cupboard/fridge/freezer, list the items and see what you can make from them. (Just starting again myself having fallen off the wagon).
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

Well, firstly welcome back! and I hope you're feeling better. The best way I've found is spending some time here on the OS forum!! Do a storecupboard challenge as well. Little steps and you'll soon find you're driving the bandwagon!! :D

I hope you feel better too and if you do you'll find things easier, have a scout round the net for inspiratio too.

If you're lacking inspiration try posting what you have in the store cupboard and seeing if anyone has some recipe ideas for you.

  • Morning fellow Old Stylers,
I have been up since 6:00 am this morning, in that time I have done,,,,

NOTHING, but sit on the pc, feed DS, change DS, sit on here, drank loads of cups of coffee, still sitting on here!

My plan for the day has gone to pot! (Not that I had a plan for today)
I need to get into it NOW, my kitchen could do with bit of a spruce, laminate floor, needs a polish, curtains could go in the wash, seeing as it's a nice dry day( maybe the last for a while)

See I have loads I could be getting on with, but just feel like I can't be bothered!
SOME ONE GIVE ME A CLIP AROUND THE EAR!! :rotfl:

Clip round the ear on its way!!!
my kitchen could do with bit of a spruce, - do this bit by bit!!!

laminate floor needs a polish, - this will make you feel better - do it second!!

curtains could go in the wash, - this one is easy - do it first!!!!

NOW GET OFF THE PC, TURN IT OFF AND GET THE CURTAINS IN THE WASH BEFORE NOON.......did that work????</p>

Wow another person feeling and doing exactly the same as me!
Don't you find the longer you sit here the more tired you feel and the less you can be bothered to get up and do? I find this!
So I reckon you should GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND DO YOUR HOUSEWORK NOW!
then after a couple of hours come back and drink some fruit juice or water while you have a short break... and I'll probably still be here feeling like a pile of poo!

Hi DeeDee,I know the feeling.I'm shattered soon as I get up and think why bother when it will be back to square one in no time.
I stop making lists.Try 30 mins pottering about tidying then get a glass of water,5 mins sit down. Then try an hour, then slowly work up to doing a couple of hours through day.Dont do things you like doing like shopping etc till youve done a bit at home.Easier said than done I know.
