Vanilla sponge, 3 layers, whipped cream and strawberries, with marshmallows and whipped cream piled on top.They have decimated it. I have deliberately toned down my baking this last 6 months.I made a rhubarb and apple crumble yesterday, about 8 portions worth, <pouf!> gone! Nothing left when I got up.Tomorrow's offering is warm mince pies (out of a box from Mr Co-Op) cream, and mulled wine,Warm Cinnamon rolls for breakfast on The Day, and Xmas Pudding with cream and custard after The Meal.Baked stuffed apples (with a mincemeat filling) and custard on Boxing day.Then normal service will resume.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Actually considering going outside and buying fresh bread. Do I need my head read?I have checked UGuv and my pay has been processed and I will be paid on the last day of the year. Hooray!Wrapped up some presents that arrived by post from people I have told not to buy anything. GrrrDH is having a biopsy in his mouth this afternoon and has been told to expect stitches and to be careful not to burn his face off with hot drinks while his face is numb. Well that went vaguely well.Everyone got up, things got opened, things were installed, they all scampered off. They all came down for meals. 2 kids bought presents, 2 did not. Disappointing, but not unexpected - they think Christmas is silly.DS1 is off to London to visit his friends for 5 days starting Tuesday. He can put it in his new diary....I am not going to haunt the work Fakeb00k account again until January 1st. It is very stressful having to check multiple times a day because jobs come and go so quickly.PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:Today is Friday.
