Well!

Yesterday I had to take my ID across to the P.O for my Christmas Casual application, and all the checks are now done. So I just have to wait and see what they offer me.

Then at 4.20 today I got rung by a chap at the Max-of-TK asking me to come for an interview tomorrow morning 9am. So going to do that as well. Just casual coming up to C-word stuff. I am hating the school run so much at the minute, I would actually prefer to go out to work, and for them to have to organize themselves to catch a bus. Teenage boys are horrid. It is official. Well, my teenage boys are horrid. They are spoilt and lazy. They need to grow up, and be civil to me while they are at it. Twits.

I got the job at Max-of-TK, they rang me on Monday, 2 hours after the interview. It is for 16 hours a week with a possibility of up to 30. Induction at end of next week. Then yesterday my DBS came for the P.O. job. It is now 28 days since I applied for these positions, I have never waited so long for a job before! I am used to my life 25 years ago as a temp, you got a phone call, do the interview within 48 hours, find out the same day, start the next day. All this hanging around is nonsense! Even the last time I worked casually for the P.O I applied, and within a week was sorting mail.

What on earth has happened in the last 20 years that has made this so slow??

Are you going to manage to do both those jobs or will your choose?
I think most teenagers are horrid, I have 2 x DDs and they were both vile teenagers. They are in their 20s now and absolutely delightful

Well done! Which will you choose? As for teenagers, give me boys any day. DD was an an absolutely evil teenager, but is lovely now. My 2 DS’s have always been polite and respectful to me, but are certainly not saints. DS1 was a prolific shoplifter in his youth and DS2 was constantly in trouble at school for something or other!

Oh I can completely agree with the others. I much prefer teenage boys to teenage girls. Teenage girls and even pre teen girls are just horrible. I have four girls and two boys and I much prefer my teen boy to the teen girls. The girls are just such hard work. My boy is so easy compared to them. As long as I have food in the house and he has Wi-Fi to call his friends, he is happy and will help me out round the house if I ask him to. The girls on the other hand!!!!
