Curtains and Blinds - where and how much?!

Curtains and blinds are one of the aspects that can get expensive VERY quickly.

If you're re-decorating the house, then wait until you're redecorating before committing to curtains etc. If you need curtains in the short term, then get them cheap from wherever is on sale.

For example, we went to dunelm for made-to-measure curtains and they quoted £400 for our bedroom. My wife made them herself for £200 (the materials are still expensive) So wait until you know how you're going to decorate before committing!
