Booking an ultrasound

I think perhaps different parts of the country are at different 'places' with technology, IYKWIM.
I had a letter with a code, so then I needed to go online and use this code to book myself the ultrasound. However, there was still the same warning- if you cancel twice, you get sent to the back of the queue.
The advantage was, I could pick an appointment to suit me, so I didn't need to cancel ones they allocated for me.
Hopefully, they will roll this out sooner rather than later.0 -
Yes , there are a lot of mass debaters on here.
You always know when the
' d' word comes out , ( debate!!!) the ' recreational' posters are losing their argument.
I'm not one hundred percent sure that this makes sense
Still I'm glad it seems you've forgiven me for our previous disagreements. It's good to interact with you again.0 -
If it was urgent i could understand the frustration but as the OP is well enough to go on an all inclusive holiday, surely it can wait ? I ended up in hospital last year as an emergency admission, i got an xray an ultrasound and an MRI scan all within the first 48 hours. The NHS are fantastic.
It's not urgent as in life or death but something that needs looking at as the symptoms are difficult to live with. They're not there all the time but come and go frequently. When they are there, I struggle to manage with day to day life. The GP has tried several treatments that have failed so now wants a look at what is going on inside to confirm or rule out several other possibilities.
Both the GP and the consultant for my other condition were happy for me to go on holiday as long as I took it easy and didn't do anything strenuous. It was mainly laying around the pool resting and some leisurely trips out where there were several short stops, so no long walks or extreme sports or anything. Was nice having all my meals prepared for me too.
I've told them I can attend anytime in September apart from the 2nd and 29th. Lets hope the third appointment fits in.
I'm getting more blood tests done at the beginning of October and have to go back and see my GP after. She was hoping to discuss all the blood tests and the scan then. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I believe the OP is at fault here rather than the NHS0

When I post a perfectly polite reply to an earlier comment and in response get told that my opinion is "petty" and then get an attempt at an insult aimed at me, I don't see anything wrong with looking at other posts about the exact same subject (the NHS) from the poster in question.
After all, sticking their user ID and the NHS in the search facility only takes a couple of seconds.
When it turns out to be the case that the poster in question seems to change their opinion to suit (otherwise known as trolling), I think that what I did is quite acceptable.
I take it you complained so my post was deleted. No matter, I'm adult enough not to obsess about it. Talking of which I do find it disturbing when someone takes the time and trouble to trawl through a debating opponent's past posts just to try and belittle them for some perverse satisfaction on a different thread. It's bordering on OCD. Each thread is a debating platform and other past posts shouldn't be taken into account. People change their minds, it's part of being human. You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

When the poster in question attempts to insult me and refers to my opinion as "petty", I do not see anything wrong in pointing out that only six month ago, that poster had exactly the same opinion as I do now.
Yes, people do change their minds on a regular basis but when I change mine, I wouldn't be arrogant enough to insult people who now have the same point of view that I had a short time ago.0 -

It wouldn't be George that complained. He doesn't tend to do that sort of thing.0 -

My post was deleted as well and it was nothing bad at all! I think there is a rogue reporter on this thread who insists on complaining if you don't agree with what they have said.0
