Not sure why you think being accurate is pedantry, but as you say, whatever...

    Because it is.

Oh and on topic, if you can afford it I'd recommend the 125 any day of the week. Better performance and economy, what's not to like?

Well, it's a Ford, so that's a bit of a warning label and at "from" £15k it's not cheap.

As for 90 (or 99) vs 125 bhp, the performance ain't a lot unless you are pootling about and the 0-60 time of the 125 isn't going to have you revving at the lights, though you will likely beat a Citroen 2CV at least. (My XR3 in the 80s had 96 bhp and did 0-60 in 9 seconds, so that's progress for you!)

How much is the BMW 2 Series MPV thing?

To be fair the Ford will almost certainly drive better, if I remember Tiff Needell was less than complimentary when driving BMWs first FWD vehicle.

And when subjected to the rigours of PH guess which cars fail more often than many would think.

    That's right BMWs.

Whereas the biggest Private Hore Company in the UK uses?

Fords! Almost exclusively since 2008. They had VW Sharan previously and they had significant gearbox issues (in fairness the Galaxy had the same gearbox)

They have now bought over a couple of competitors and have a fair few Prius.

They also have an Exec fleet with E Class, which have a habit of blowing head gaskets at high miles and also the interiors don't stand up that well to Private Hire use.

The Artico Leather is prone to cracking and the dash plastics (specifically the front of the centre console) are a little bit fragile.

Probably fixed the last bit with the new E Class.

Most of the Galaxys end up going straight back into Private Hire after being sold on.

You still see some of the 2008 ones knocking about.

And with almost no wear on the seats even at huge mileages.
