From what I've heard, they are all the same engine, Get it remapped which will give you 150 bhp.
Might be worth speaking to a remap company before ordering

That is presumably an "in 4th gear" figure, which is irrelevant. In a lower powered car one needs to use the gearstick to get optimum acceleration. People that don't want to change gear should probably buy an automatic, or a Daf.

A 90ps car will reach 70mph on almost any motorway sliproad before joining the main carriageway and bumble along the motorway at licence threatening speeds quite happily - how fast do you want to go?

Thread title was a bit confusing as the 90bhp one is the 1.4l engine which is completely different to the ecoboost. For the 99bhp vs 125bhp, I would personally prefer the 125bhp but wouldn't hesitate to get a 99bhp one if it was a good deal.

And how bright would that be, given it will instantly invalid the manufacturers warranty?

And, of course, you will remember to tell the insurance company, who will most likely hike up the price accordingly.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

The difference between the Focus 100 and C Max 125 is really noticeable especially considering the C Max is around 100 Kg heavier and more brick shaped.

Thanks everyone for your replies and especially to WobblyDog for finding out the torque info. I'm going to go with the 125bhp even though it's slight more expensive. And I won't be getting it remapped!!!

    Thanks all :)

I find my 105 PS car has plenty of power for roundabouts, etc. although coming from a 60 PS old Micra, anything will feel powerful I suppose. :)

but I don't know what the ps figures were.
Although different units of measurement, PS and BHP are pretty much the same in terms of numerical value. PS is a German measurement, and for some reason, Ford has always used PS for some reason.
