I tend to shop at Morrisons for day to day as it's easy to nip into after work
For a treat though I don't think you can beat Marks & Spencer!0 -
Tesco as I work for them and get 10% discount for being a staff member.
In the past (before I worked there) was a mixture of Tesco or Sainsbury's. Was never really a fan of Asda. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
I use all the supermarkets and stores to some extent with the exception of Waitrose, the nearest of which is probably 20 miles away.
Aldi is closest but I am bored with it as there are no real reductions - they throw away food going out of date rather than reduce which makes the whole shopping experience very dull. Disgusting waste too.
I now go to Lidl which although further away does have really good reductions within two days of use by date, particularly fish which is vacuum sealed. I don't buy many branded items but when I do I check for mysupermarket bargains and buy three or four items when they are at a really low price. That could be any of the big supermarkets.
M & S is always nice for a treat when they have the dine in, etc.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Asda for me as it is only a 10 minute walk. I sometimes get treats from Marks and Spencers, like their dine in for £10 deals.I'm a professional cynic but my heart's not in it0

I think I've shopped at all of the big names at one time or another. Until a year ago, I was shopping at Sainsbugs every week. Then they opened an Aldi in our town, so I tried it for a week to see what we thought - we've never looked back. It's not only cheaper, it's much closer to home (I could walk if I wanted to, compared to a 20 minute car journey). I used to reckon on +/- £70 per week at Sains's, but at Aldi I spend between £40 and £50. They don't sell absolutely everything that I want, so I head off to Sainsbury's about once every 6 weeks, but everything I buy at Aldi is fine, and some of it is better than elsewhere.
And I'm saving £25 a week!! As a result, I've taken on a cleaner who comes for 2 hours a week and charges £25. Win win!!No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
I have a Tesco,Asda and Waitrose about a mile away but I drive about 5 miles to Aldi as the prices are cheaper and its a better and quicker shopping experience for me.0

Morrisons for me. A couple of years ago they built a store with petrol station just down the road from me. Before that, it was Tescos on the other side of Town which so happens to be falling apart. Leaky roof, drafty etc.
I keep hearing suggestions that you should shop around the supermarkets for your groceries to save money. Yeah right. Sure, you could do that, but when you add the cost of fuel for your car, it's not worth it.
For our Town, all the Supermarkets are some distance apart from each other.
Sainsburys is just outside our Town on the other side of the A57 connecting the A1 to Sheffield. Farmfoods is in the Town Centre where you have to pay for parking. ALDI isn't all that good. ASDA is in 2 locations. In the Town Centre and the North edge of Town. No ASDA petrol stations though. Our nearest Lidl is probably in Sheffield.
Morrisons, despite having very friendly and helpful, especially when my disability kicks in and I end up having a seizure, Morrisons tends to remove important items from their shelves or having very little stock.
For example, our Morrisons store only sells Gillette razor blades. They use to sell Wilkinson Sword and King of Shaves. Not only that, but for us that have intollerances to either Lactose or Gluten or both, the choices are very limited in the dairy free and free from sections.0 -
Sainsbury's and occasionally Aldi when we need crisps and Wagyu burgers.0

Nearest one to me is Tesco which is also the biggest store so do my shopping there.
We also have Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons all within less than 10 minutes of each other.
Personally, I find the best before dates on fresh fruit and veg at Tesco's are really poor compared to the other stores so keep threatening to go elsewhere(frequently the dates are for the very next day).
However, I did go to Sainsbury's a couple of weeks back and found my bill was a lot higher there.0
