Where does everyone do their grocery shop

Ooh, I forgot to say - we buy coffee beans in a Wh!ttards - we both love their Guatemalan Elephant Beans, which make wonderful filter coffee if, like me, you like it strong, black and unsweetened. That's our only "extravanance" though. I can't abide instant coffee. _pale_
We did try @sda for a while; but for us, it's a faff to get to, and the nearest one to us has only two checkouts wide enough to take a wheelchair trolley through - and usually only one of them was manned, so we'd wind up queueing for ages.
Life's too short to sit in a queue just because the SM has squeezed in more checkouts and made the lanes too narrow. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Having been a loyal Tesco customer for years, most of my food shopping is now from Aldi with the exception of cat food (allergies), Branston baked beans and some frozen veg. As Farmfoods is next door, I'll have a look in there for any offers on groceries. Toiletries from Aldi - cleaned them out of their hair dye yesterday which has been missing for a while- or Home Bargains, £land or similar.
I will use others occasionally but only for top ups and if I'm passing.0 -
I was told by a staff member that Asda carefully selects what it has in each store for its target market and in the area we live people want the snacks/ convenience/ junk food and don't so much buy fresh produce.
.
Ah, thanks, that helps explain why my local Asda has aisles full of pillow case size packets of crisps, clearance offers on all Polish food and stopped trying to sell Halal food and no longer stock tins of Ma Made your own marmaladeEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I live in what feels like the middle of nowhere, in a tiny village without a shop or any public transport. However it's only about 10 miles to the nearest town, where there is a massive choice of all possible supermarkets.
I shop once a week in Aldi, which covers most things. I keep chickens and quail so always have plenty of eggs; we don't eat much bread, but what we need I will bake; I grow quite a lot of fruit and veg so we eat seasonally from the garden whenever possible and the rest comes from Aldi with a heavy emphasis on their Super 6 offers; I buy meat to suit the menu plan from a wholesale butcher about once a month, portion it up and freeze it.
I do one small shop in Sainsbury's (usually) every 6-8 weeks for any ingredients not stocked in Aldi.
Everything is cooked from scratch, and I rely on the freezer a lot one way or another.0 -
We use a mixture - mostly Morrisons, sometimes Aldi, sometimes Ocado (depending on vouchers/offers - went with them this week as they were offering £20 of freebies). I often find Aldi don't have everything we need (we don't eat meat, and I find their beans and veggie options aren't great).0

We do a shop every six weeks at Aldi for staples such as pasta, rice, cans of tomatoes etc. Then top up with deliveries from Ocado - we live out in the country so it's more economical.0

i do most of my shopping in tesco as its closest, then morrisons, then sainsburys where i use the nectar points up, co op when theres a good offer on, waitrose when im in the area and only buying Ys stuff, bakers for bread, and market occasionally for fruit and veg. also shop 2 or 3 times a year with approved food to stock up the store cupboard. im not loyal to any particular shop or brand. x0

I use asda for delivered shopping and lidl if I'm going shopping, as its the closest supermarket, and I drive past it about once a week. We're quite rural here, with all the really big supermarkets about a 40 min drive away.
I went to sainsburys the other weekend and wasn't that impressed with what I got.0 -
I go to Iceland for some of my frozen stuff. I buy 5/6 four pints of milk from there (they call me the milk lady), I like the free delivery. I then go to Lidll, each week, I buy more and from there. There is an Aldi opposite, but for me it's easier to park in the indoor shopping precinct car park. I take a trolly from Lidll, take it into all the shops in the precinct, then finally do my shop in Lidll, load the car up and home. On Friday I go to Tesco, it is the only place I can find my large bottles of Hock now. Since Lidll have started adding more and more super products, Tesco's have lost out on a big shop from me.0
