Where does everyone do their grocery shop

We used to shop at Tesco and had done for years but early this year we switched to Waitrose after a couple of smaller shops in there. The products we bought were really nice so took up the £100 of your first 5 online shops deal and we have been so impressed with the quality that we have not switched back and surprisingly our weekly shop is no more expensive.
We were fed up of throwing fruit and veg away after a couple of days from Tesco, but with Waitrose even their Essentials range will last the week. We still do out toiletries and household shop once a month in Tesco as I find they have better deals but for food, in our opinion, Waitrose is so much better.0 -
I work for one of the big four, but as I don't drive and I live in another town, I don't shop there much, despite my discount.
A few miles away, and on a bus route, there is a huge wholesale butchers. It's basically a supermarket but the focus is on fresh, cheap, generally good quality meat. (Eg 5kg of chicken breast for £20!) I get the vast majority of my meat here, but not beef mince, as that is cheaper in the supermarkets.
In my town itself I have a huge Tesco, an Aldi, and not much else apart from a Sainsbury's Local, teeny tiny Co Op and a few other corner shops. Meat aside, most of my shop comes from Aldi, everything else Tesco or Asda. The nearest large Sainsbury's and Morrisons are some distance away, Waitrose even further, so I rarely use those - although I have a weakness for the Morrisons salad bar and Yorkshire curd tarts that only Morrisons sell!0 -
Tesco mostly, but I need to use two branches because neither stocks everything I need. I get bread and some fruit from Sainsbury's. I recently had £50 in Co-op food vouchers to spend, their prices were an eye opener.0

Not very MSE but Ocado. It's by the far the easiest, quickest and trouble free way to do regular shopping for us. We used to do a weekly shop but it didn't feel like a good use of time so we stopped going regularly to supermarkets. I don't miss it one bit.
Actually, perhaps it is MSE afterall, what we spend on convenience may balance out by not having those impulse purchases. Just thinking out loud :idea:0 -
I shop where ever the prices are good, & usually look online for the offers.
Lidl's my favourite no stress shop, & I buy loads from there.0 -
It used to be Lidl, until about 6-8 months ago, when they got rid of a couple of product lines that are used a lot in our household, so we switched to Asda, which gives us much more choice for not much more money (apart from bits of the fruit and veg, which can be pricer). I also occasionally shop at Waitrose for a treat, and usually if I have vouchers, or Marks and Spencers for their meal deals.0

Tesco for the "big" shop about once every two weeks and the occasional top up. Waitrose once in a while for treats and a Co-Op local for when I'm desperate for something on a Sunday night and everything else is closed.0

Mainly Aldi as I don't drive and it's very near to me.
Also shop at Asda a fair bit and as many others nowadays get bits from various places, but those 2 are the main 2 places.0 -
Mostly ALDI, as love their cheeses, fruit n veg but also shop with Morrison's online, about once a month"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I shop mainly in Tesco and Morrisons, not out of choice that's all our market town has
Nearest others round trip, Aldi 12, Lidl 30, Sainsburys 30, Asda (very small branch) 30, Waitrose 30.
Just for fun Asda petrol 120:eek:
Fortunately we have a magnificent market, fabulous fish van (direct from Brixham), beautiful bakers and brilliant butchers in the town0
