  • I am pleased to say that ParkWithEase have cancelled my parking fine :beer:. They had claimed that "there is no payment for your registration or anything similar" but now admit that the payment was made but there was a single letter wrong in the registration number.

    I had asked ParWithEase to check their "records and computer logs thoroughly" but this was ignored :mad:. I had complained to Lowther Estates but they just passed me back ParkWithEase who "who are the managers of Whitemoss Car Parks" :mad:. It was only after I had written to the local MP Tim Farran, who wrote in strong terms to Lowther Estates that they emitted the error. So good job there Tim :T.

    Cowther Estates say "entered the incorrect registration [..] is a common mistake". This is not surprising considering:

    1. The full registration does not need to be entered before a list of registration numbers is displayed for you to select from.
    2. This list can be difficult to read, in sun for example.
    3. There is no prompt for you to confirm that you have picked the correct number.

    In my case no receipt was printed so I could not prove I had paid. I wonder how many others have had the same thing happen to them and to use ParkAtEase's phraseology will be "pursued until payment is made in full"!?

    now ask him to write to Sajid Javid and ask him what the DCLG are doing about the long awaited decision on reining in the private parking companies that Eric Pickles promised in the last government , that Grant Schapps did nothing about and we havent heard a peep from Sajid Javid about it at all this even after a petition online and also the DCLG asking for comments almost 18 months ago in their public survey

    Well done and this is something everyone should do, complain to their MP about the scammers

    Note, Tim Farron is not my MP but the MP for the part of the Lake District MP where White Moss car park is located.

    I don't think the parking machines at White Moss are fit for purpose, it is too easy to select the wrong reg number. I don't know how Nochex fit in to this if at all unless they make the parking machines? They seem to be an internet payment company, I paid in cash.
