The DCLG are ignoring the scam, as a voter what do you want government to do ?

Despite the petition, the Conservative government have failed to provide a legal independent regulator to protect motorists.

The BPA can no longer be considered as viable, they are too entrenched in the scam presented by their members

The IPC, a purpose designed organisation set up to extort money from people. Run by a firm of solicitors whom the SRA think are squeeky clean ... So much for the SRA then ??

Then we have BWLEGAL, god knows how many letters they have sent out ? BW LEGAL are akin to the Kray Twins and Peter Rachman (google them) >>> seems the SRA maybe looking into this one but are the SRA smart enough to understand this ?
Gladstones, Wright Hassall and Miah are runners up's

So, bear in mind that parking companies are here to stay, what would you like to see that at least gives a 50-50 chance for the motorist. In my book Scottish law should be extended to all of the UK. IE, the scammers need to know who the driver is/was

The current system is abused so what do you want to see ???

I thought we had "The Scottish system" before they brought in POFA.
  • IMO, a lot of the PPCs are financial donors to the Tory and/or Labour parties (I'm sure they'd donate to both just to ensure they'll be sponsoring the winner at election time), so I'm wondering if that's a factor?

Yes, and those in Scotland do not suffer the abuse we do

No but their government might end up getting up close and cuddly to the PPC's:

And in England it's been two years since Pickles (who never finishes a job he starts) said:

......"bully boy’ tactics would not be tolerated and rogue firms could be prosecuted".

Good artice in the Courier, as Murdo Fraser said

"Without a robust appeals service it is likely that these types of operators will continue to pressure and harass motorists"

In the meantime, Scotland remains the same

Pickles was just all mouth and no action and now it is Marcus Jones MP who
is dragging his heels. I copied in a letter sent to Theresa May to Marcus Jones
and his email address bounced saying "Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently"

The SRA must shoulder some of the blame, a handful of firms are bringing the profession into disrepute.

Was the BPA ltd ever considered viable ?
All it is and all it ever was is nothing more than a private trade association there to protect and look after its members interests.
All this code of conduct/code of practice, sanction points and even POPLA, which is far from independent for as long as the BPA are pulling the puppet strings, is no more than a façade to give the thing some sort of air of responsibility and respect amongst the politicians who should be doing something about this ( and other matters- instead of fighting amongst themselves over Corbyn/EU/Brexit etc) and those in corporate world who are blinded by the bullshyte presented by the BPA with their so called COP/independant appeals and so forth.

As for the IPC/IAS well, erm .

Unfortunately for something to happen it will either take a real high profile case/ horrific situation such as a suicide as a result of the antics of ppc world and/or someone who has connections, and full legal understanding to stop the PPCs in their tracks.
It should just be a matter of waiting, hopefully for someone high profile/with connections to put a stop to this before tragedy strikes.

As for the government investigation, instigated by Mr Pickles I'm sure things would have moved at a much faster pace had the DVLA turned off the tap and prevented PPCS obtaining RK data for so called car park management pending the outcome of the enquiry.
    From the Plain Language Commission:

"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"

In my opinion all trade bodies exist to represent the interests of their paid up members.

They try to do this usually by employing front men/women who are clever at PR and can in someway persuade the gullible public they exist to liaise and protect their interest.

The reality is far from that!

http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmregmem/160801/160801.pdf This is a list of MP's interests, can everyone check their MP for any connection to the scammers. If a lawyer or barrister might be worth writing to them over these dodgy law firms.
